Phil Robertson Clarifies His "Convert Them or Kill Them" Comment

Radio interview, so I don't have a link. Phil said that his comment was meant to convey the idea that ISIS members either need to have a change of heart and stop committing acts of violence and terrorism, or else there's really only one alternative. Fight them and kill them.
With regards to Robertson trying to win converts to Christianity, Robertson freely admitted that he does that. The difference, Robertson said, is that when he is unsuccessful in winning a soul for Jesus, he simply tells the person to have a nice day and walks away. OTOH, ISIS is intent upon killing everybody who doesn't agree with them.
This was a phony controversy to begin with, but I certainly don't see how anybody can have a problem with what he said today.
PS - If I heard him correctly, I think Robertson said that he has to travel around with "armed men" these days. That's a pretty sad commentary on where this country is right now, if a conservative Christian can't speak his mind without receiving death threats.

He sucks the family Robertson's cocks so hard, I like the guy but his hero-worship is pretty ridiculous.

Why does this man have a platform to talk about any of this? He is as educated on world affairs as Kim Kardashian.

I'd say a man who holds a masters degree (albeit in education) is vastly more suited to weigh in on any issue than Kim Kardashian

The man has a right to speak his mind. He has an MBA and was an educator before starting up a very successful business, so comparing him to somebody who is only popular because of a sex tape and a big arse is ridiculous.
I thought he handled himself well today.

So it takes an understanding of the entire world to understand that ISIS is evil and should be stopped

Yeah, I'd say it helps to know the history of that region in particular to have any sort of opinion on what should be done.

Wow, that's exactly how reasonable people interpreted. Where are the liberals who said he was just like the terrorists?

What leads you to conclude PR doesn't have that knowledge?

Anything to extend that 15 minutes.

Why is it ridiculous? The only reason we know who either one of them are is because of their reality television shows. You could make the argument that without Kim Kardashian, none of us know anything about the Robertsons.

Phil Robertson is a man of character. The last thing he cares about is extending his 15 minutes.

Every man is a man of character.
Ray Rice is a man of character.
Now as to the quality of their character..........

not to mention both of them are on two different levels of fame.
It would be disingenuous to suggest Phil is on the same plane of popularity as Kim.

I am sure you believe this.

And what makes you think he doesn't know their history?
