I've met two female baristas who told me they had a degree in theater arts.

History and geography majors make good analysts either in the DoD world or even for some private industry.

But you have to work....and know how to write coherently.

So, the liberal arts model should be killed according to you apparently. Despite the role that universities have had in Western Civilization, they should be replaced by solely technical and professional schools, huh?

Liberal arts in colonial days included surveying, law, accounting, architecture, medicine and drawing. Drawing was practical then because there were no cameras.

Times have changed of course, but Marxism and its academic spawn are still formulas for economic disaster.

What jobs out there and in the future do you foresee requiring a degree in history?!?! Unless this kid goes on to law school, he'll be joining the ranks of retail workers with useless degrees. Until they're all replaced by bots.

Lol, plenty of jobs don't require a specific degree.

You can become an accountant, an investment banker, an investor with a degree in History.

They'll get the last laugh when Biden makes us pay for their education through loan forgiveness.

Also, why is a history degree useless?

Because Cleopatra is black and what you learned in school is fricking wrong.

Agreed fully.

My minor is in history and I didn’t pursue it as a major because it wouldn’t have resulted in any job I could work, as I don’t have the right temperament for teaching and all other jobs using that degree require further education such as law.

Medical equipment sales or pharmaceutical rep tends to work better if you have big tits.

Even in this environment, that look doesn’t work with me wearing it.

I know a girl who is in grant management. She has a journalism degree. Her friend hired her and she learned on the job. She is great at what she does!

I work for a company that hires engineers with diverse backgrounds. One of my colleagues has some sort of classical music degree. He is arguably our best engineer. The man is on the spectrum . People who focus too hard on the degree/school name are limiting themselves.

You may call him one, but he can never call himself an Engineer professionally.
