My wife committed adultery after a 27 year marriage, which is biblical grounds for divorce and she also sought out the divorce even though I was willing to remain married and work through it. I don't have anything to repent about concerning my divorce because I wasn't the offender.
And to answer your question, repentance means renouncing something and attempting to not commit the same act with the power of the Holy Spirits help.
If a gay person tries to abstain from sex, and in his heart makes a conscience effort to do so, he can be clean before God.
The gay person who continues having homosexual sex because he chooses to obey his lust over God will be judged accordingly.

Well I'm not going to read this whole thread but I'll say this; being gay hurts no one. People are definitely born gay, I was. I'm gay and certainly didn't choose my "lifestyle" as some call it. Being born gay has been a blessing though once I accepted who I was. It's made me a more compassionate person because I've realized you never know what someone may be going through that they don't speek about, so I don't judge people based on their vices. We're all just trying to make it in this crazy thing we call life; we have the same wants and needs no matter your skin color, religion or sexual orientation.
