In this administration there would have been no need for an announcement if official documents had been prepared ahead of time. Those documents would have been printed in the WaPo within minutes of dissemination.

Who gives a shite if he tweeted about this before it was a done deal? Seriously, that is a complete non issue. The FACT of the matter is, it has ALWAYS been the rule that trannies should be removed from service. That never changed. The ONLY thing that changed was Obama orchestrated a Directive for the Department of Defense to ignore that part of the UCMJ
If you truly believe trannies belong in the military petition your Congressman to change the UCMJ.

I disagree. I don't think this was a distraction, and you may be giving the administration too much credit (4d chess is silly). It is more likely the president heard concerns over a study the military was conducting and overreacted/jumped the gun.
