Except that SOTU takes weeks to write and has input from multiple branches of the exec and some from Congress. It's not the medium nor the message at fault here, it's the decision making.

As a matter of fact you fricking idiot it was OBAMA who issued a directive to IGNORE the UCMJ as it was written by CONGRESS. SO he's the one who used bad means to justify his ends. If he wanted trannies in the military then he should have went to COngress and got the UCMJ amended the way they did for gays in 2010. Instead he simply told the Defense Department to ignore that part of the UCMJ.

I support equality of opportunity, so I support Obama's decision. I'm not a fan of how it was implemented. I do not support the right of kings or imperial presidencies, so I do not support decisions made because they are Trumps right.

Trump could have walked out of a meeting with the Joint Chiefs agreeing to a trannie ban and if asked an hour later, the chiefs would have said, “There will be no modifications to the current policy until the president’s direction has been received by the secretary of defense and the secretary has issued implementation guidance,”
