Maybe not, but the question still remains why didn't Sessions launch an investigation into the accusations of white voters abusing the absentee voting laws in that area? His claim is he had no evidence, but I can tell you from family members that have told me about it that it was pretty common knowledge it was going on. Those counties in that part of the state almost always had more absentee ballots cast than any other county in the state after passage of the Voting Rights Act. Those counties were also all around 60% black, yet didn't have black elected officials until the mid 80's. Not hard to put two and two together if you're familiar with this state's history.

Why do we prosecute the murders in North Baton Rouge? Because that's where they happen.

So once someone is found not guilty, any further accusations on that case are without merit or is it just this specific instance?
