A while back, Bush 43 had actually referred to Hillary as a de facto sister in law.
Oligarchy? What oligarchy?
Ehhhh, who am I kidding? We are so fricked.

With the costs of a presidential run, in both dollars and connection/power, what can we expect but an oligarchy or worse. I'm afraid we're stuck with the new boss same as the old boss.

Romney-Bush... would be like Boehner-McConnell..
is there really a point to voting for any of them?

Right.
Two former governors that have never served in the Federal government (either in an elected or appointed capacity) and never been part of "insider Washington" - as opposed to two guys who have made a career of it - nothing remotely different there.

quote:I have a feeling HRC would tap him out quicker than bama did mccain or mittens. His families closeness with clintons would pretty much take his best ammo of bengazi and tying her down to obama away. Also his disdain for the tea party and the conservatives not circling the wagons would leave the race open for a blow out.
He'll have the big money. I think he has made it clear that he expects that tea party folks won't support him. My guess is that he wins the primary and runs a very close race with HRC. He may be the only R that can beat her. Since the Clinton-Bush families are now very close this will be an interesting race to watch. If it comes to fruition perhaps we can finally have a somewhat civil race that focuses on issues. How novel would that be!
