JBE got a lot of positive publicity the last couple of days with the storm press conferences.

He won't get 47% in the runoff, he's done. He fooled enough people that were willing to punish themselves, and their State, b/c of Vitter's behavior that didn't affect them 15 years prior. Not to mention two backstabbing RINOs pushed him over the top. Nothing he did this weekend or until the DEC runoff will save his sorry arse.

Good Riddance !

People that are not happy with Edwards or have watched while Louisiana is last in economic growth in the nation need to place blame where it sits. On republicans that voted for a filthy democrat.
Don’t blame me, I have never voted for a democrat since my first election in ‘88. I have not or never will vote for a democrat.

I like Rispone but he’s so dang low key. I wish Mitch Ourso would run. Now he’s a DBNO. At least he supports his electorate.

If they really wanted to vote for a democrat in that cycle, they could've voted for the qualified democrat Kip Holden in the Lt. Governor's race over that moron Pinky Nungesser who won by the same margin that JBE beat Vitter.

Kip was a great mayor for Baton Rouge and didn't piss in the wrong people's cheerios at every turn like Broome is.

Kip loves Louisiana and would've been a great tourism rep as Lt. Governor.

Governor David Vitter

Lt. Governor Kip Holden.

That's what should've been reality and that's what I voted for.

He's just starting to drop money on ads. Already released two web ads.

Hopefully he can get it together as he's the change agent Louisiana needs.

Sentrius I upvoted you. I’m all in for Rispone but just ready to Geaux. Rispone may be a quiet Trump. Our last few governors have been as bad as it gets. Let’s see how would you rank them?

Blanco
Jindal
Edwards

What a 3 up 3 down batting order. No wonder we are where we find ourselves.

It's fine to call yourself like Trump but I just cannot see how campaigning like him would work.

There is and can only be one Donald Trump and trying mimic him is just not going to work and that's a lesson quite a few candidates across the country found out in the 2018 midterms.

Kris Kobach in Kansas being one of them.

Rispone has lots of resources and money with which to adjust his message in order to find that sweet spot where he calls down the echoes of Trump’s 2016 campaign without inviting people to ask why he isn’t as funny and engaging as Trump is.

Hopefully he can get it done.

1A.) Jindal = may have been a disappointment that abandoned Louisiana on the whims of money sucking consultants and naive dreams but he did get a few things right like not raising taxes on us, managing emergency preparedness whenever a big storm hit, did not attack oil and gas and the rest of the private sector, did a few things to keep Government small.

However, I do hold him personally responsible for dividing the Louisiana GOP with his stupid and pointless feud with Vitter when he should've swallowed his pride and did everything he could to make sure his successor was not a tax and spend liberal even if it's someone he personally hated.

Louisiana is supposed to come first, not your ego.

1B.) Blanco = She may have screwed up Katrina royally to a point where it cost thousands of lives and billions in property damage but I fully believe that genuinely cared about Louisiana and didn't try to attack the private sector and didn't play good ole boy politics.

She was just overwhelmed by the job of Governor.

3.) JBE = The political twin of Edwin Edwards that also idolizes Huey Long and sees government as the most important thing there is and does everything he can to grow it, doesn't believe in economic freedom, doesn't support citizens keeping as much of their own money as they can, sees the private sector especially oil and gas as a piggy bank that has money that should belong to the Statehouse and does not give one shite about out of control numbers of people leaving Louisiana.

also JBE lives to construct a class action lawsuit on behalf of the state on some issue that he can farm out to his trial lawyer buddies on contingency and then go to "work" for them after he leaves office.

Note he really wants to sue the oil companies on behalf of the parishes under the guise the oil companies caused coastal erosion. He has never mentioned any lawsuits against the Long heirs or other royalty collectors who profited enormously from the same oil activity. Kudos to AG Graves for stopping his efforts thus far.

He is a Long wanna be raised in family of politicians thus his moral compass is tainted like any family's would be that has 100 years of politics at its heart. They got their original land in Louisiana from the King of France so they have been sucking up to political power for centuries.

Rispone doesn't stand a fricking chance..... Don't kid yourself that little sawed off piss ant could not beat Ralph Abraham if he had 20 million to spend. Talks like a 6th grade girl!

Let's make sure he has that opportunity next year and make it even worse for him when we pass real tort reform.

Look at this vid where he gives a speech giving the utmost praise to socialist Huey Long.

Moderate blue dog my arse.

Now this is not needed.

If there's one thing that's necessary this year, it's for Rispone and Abraham to be team players focused on JBE's removal no matter who the opponent is and to avoid mudslinging at each other and do everything they can to help the conservative win the runoff.

Rispone and Abraham would both make fine Governors as they're both legit conservatives and are not associated with the usual suspects that has kept Louisiana shitty. However only one of them can win and this has to be a team effort with an emphasis on friendly rivalry.

This is not 2015 where Vitter was running against two RINOs that went scorched earth against him and chose to help JBE win.

That is true. Trump was really pushing him. There is no telling what is going on behind the scenes. Scalise has said no.

It may not matter so much to Trump that he would go to the wall pushing Scales.
