Dude couldn't handle being told to stop breaking the law so he offed himself. I didn't upvote the thread and I'm not happy he did it. I genuinely am indifferent. People die for far more tragic reasons every minute.

It's absolutely not surprising in the least.

I'm not happy the man killed himself, but it's ludicrous to try to use this against efforts to enforce immigration laws.
You're unhinged, and people like you make me want to institute a monarchy.

I think it's okay not to care. I don't really care that much myself if I'm being honest. But the positive reaction is a little disturbing. There's a strain of sadism that can permeate some discussions around here that's worse than merely failing to empathize.

Trump didn't make him jump. He gambled by skirting the law and lost. He was a criminal alien who thought his own self-interests were greater than ours. Greater than the rule of law in the country he felt was good enough to take advantage of, but not good enough to respect its established policies.

If he was so despondent at being returned to his shithole country of birth, that's on him.

Why is Mexico such a shithole? What has stopped Mexico from becoming like Canada?

I think a large part of it has to do with the fact that it's not in between Columbia and the US.

well the posts in that thread did more than just show support for immigration laws

HOWEVER, i will say that messaging is so polluted these days that it was an inflamed, auto-reaction to a story that they knew would be used for appeals to emotion and virtue signaling/attacking by progressives. these discussions are just so toxic these days

You love to hide behind your "victimhood,"Toddy, but imo you are one of the biggest jerks here. I participated in that thread you're referencing. I never once reveled in the fact that the man committed suicide. I did, however, express support for a President & an Administration which ro7nded up an ILLEGAL immigrant who had already been deported 3 TIMES!

Take your phony virtue-signaling & shove it up your arse.

Yet you support men pretending to be women even though their suicide rate is over 40%. You'd rather allow the delusion to continue rather than get them the help they need.

Sad...

Yes, it's a good point. Indifference at breaking up families is one thing. This board's celebration of getting the dirty, disease carrying immigrants out is quite another. Most people didn't feel like that before Trump, they allowed his rhetoric (and in fairness to him, the rhetoric of other supporters) to turn their anti-illegal immigration position into an unhinged emotional response.

But Toddy is still full of shite.

i disagree

Trump just made it OK to admit it out loud

there have been posts about illegal immigrants on this board for as long as i've been posting on it, through previous Democratic and Republican administrations

Well, they don't get help because they tend to be brutally bullied for it by assholes.

And what the frick do trannies have anything to do with this? It's apples and oranges.
