I wonder what some of those Senators get in return?

Campaign contributions. I can't find the chart now but I looked at one a little while ago and it showed who is getting money from the telecommunication companies and how they voted on pieces of legislation like this. It won't surprise you.

A few years ago this was not a partisan issue but it had become one.

Don't hate me baw, was just making a paycheck while in college. I'm just saying this info has been sold out for a long time.

If you really wanna get in deep, I can get access to a lot of your personal information if you bank with capital one or if you gamble at any casino in this region (Louisiana, Mississippi, etc). I could go in and send you free hotel nights/free play etc.

Buttttttt I'd get in deep doodoo for that

What do you think Trump's view on this is?

The same as the last 3 president's views. Not everything is about a political team.

wut This is overturning Obama-era legislation. This was a pure party line vote. Why would that be? What is YOUR view? Do you support this bill?

Pretending they weren't selling your data before

Yeah but at least before it was technically illegal. Unless you willingly gave your information and allowed them to use it by clicking a checkbox somewhere in the terms and conditions.
