Exactly. Spencer came off looking like a deep cover mole for progressives with that stunt.
The only thing that tempers it is that he yelled Pepe! right after that, so maybe he really was just trolling. It's still incredibly stupid, though.

What's the criteria for membership?
Basically your are an a-hole with an unhealthy interest in conspiracy theories and politics.

Not many

Taking into account the existence of some kind of long tail of alt-right websites, I still think the population of the online US alt-right is somewhere in the mid five-digits, maybe 50,000 or so.
quote:
50,000 is more than the 5,000 Klansmen. But it’s still 0.02% of the US population. It’s still about the same order of magnitude as the Nation of Islam, which has about 30,000 – 60,000 members, or the Church of Satan, which has about 20,000. It’s not quite at the level of the Hare Krishnas, who boast 100,000 US members. This is not a “voting bloc” in the sense of somebody it’s important to appeal to. It isn’t a “political force” (especially when it’s mostly, as per the 4chan stereotype, unemployed teenagers in their parents’ basements.)

They were already going to call him a Nazi no matter what he did because his words are extremely provocative. He speaks about controversial topics that SJWs like to either ignore or pretend they don't exist. He calls the media lugenpresse. Additionally, the already came into the NPI conference under the assumption that the Alt Right was all Nazis anyway. So what, this somehow makes him an uber Nazi? An ubermensch if you will? If it wasn't this, it would have been something else.
The media is going to get over this in a day or two.

Direct quote from Richard Spencer
frick this guy. Dude isn't helping anything and needs to be ostracized by anyone who wants to move this country forward
quote:
“America was, until this last generation, a white country designed for ourselves and our posterity,” Mr. Spencer thundered. “It is our creation, it is our inheritance, and it belongs to us.”

Is he wrong? Where did the ideas of the enlightenment come from? The Renaissance? Democracy? American Revolution? Capitalism? The concepts of liberty? The Industrial Revolution?
Do you think that if we somehow replaced all of the people who came here with people from another culture that this country would look the same? Or for that matter, would even exist?

I don't give a shite what he thinks or why. Its 2016 let's move the country forward not play right into the hands of the media while dragging down the rest of us with him.

I'm worried about the middle east, the economy, and the debt going forward and hope Trump can unite the country to tackle those problems. I don't give two shits about "white inheritance" and you are a fricking idiot if you support this BS. It's only getting in the way and offering a distraction.
frick Richard Spencer and frick you if you support him

So then if we say replaced all of the settlers of this country with people from East Asia, we would have the same country we do today?

Why would someone be a fricking idiot in this case?

Could someone explain to me what alt-right is? Who are they? What is their political leaning? What is their message? What is their goals? Mission statement? anything?

That is not what Spencer is proposing...
If we removed all immigrants to the US in history, would the US be the industrial, military, and economic world power we are today?
