How far behind would civilization be today if Islamist had conquered Europe --

Through out history Muslims invaded Europe. Where would we be had the Muslims been successful?
The concept of private property doesn't exist today in some of the Muslim countries. They are only 100 years removed from tribal government.

Saw the OP and immediately concluded that stubby obviously knows nothing of European or world history. The thinking that brought Europe into shape as an intellectual power spread from south to north.

But the flip side of this is that the middle eastern empire would never have been able to hold Europe for all this time. The damage would have been if Europe would have remained under foreign rule for another thousands years. But that is a different kind of damage. That would have been bad.

yes they did but those things became tools of the west where private property and nation states evolved while the Islamic Empires languished.
No question Western Civilization has led the world the last 500 years.
