Former intel officer confirms to CNN that US IC was using Brits to get around US law

He claims to be one of the 3 sources Napolitano used in accusing the Brits of spying on Trump. Napolitano gave the NYT permission to contact him about his Brits involvement statement. The intel officer said that he knew about it before Trump tweeted about it. And that statements made by the IC weren't typical, unless they are playing politics with what they had
CNN's host kept trying to say his info was only second hand, but the intel officer said his info was solid.
He also said, he wouldn't have used the word wiretap to describe what occurred, but that the IC was using Brits as a back channel to get info to Obama. He clarifies that he wasn't accusing BHO of ordering it, but that it was happening

This is all about a video too. In this case the video is of Napolitano calling out the British IC. Yesterday none other than CNN confirmed much of his account. Apparently you missed that?

It's the standard story--other nations began noticing strange things about the Trump campaign in 2015, and the CIA & FBI didn't want to act on this knowledge because they thought the politics looked back. Thus, they didn't start an official investigation until July 2016, and even then, they refused to go public about it.
In no way whatsoever does this back up Napolitano's assertion that the Obama Administration requested surveillance of the Trump campaign from foreign agencies. Every indication is that the higher-ups in the Obama Administration wanted nothing to do with this, and hoped it would go away, whereas the lower officers were the ones who were more concerned (and rightly so). Common sense would tell you that the Obama Administration wasn't the one pushing for or requesting these investigations, because if they did, the final stretch of the election in October 2016 would have played out COMPLETELY differently than it did.
If anything, Barack Obama was complicit in tacitly backing Comey's judgment to hurt Hillary and help Trump, most likely because Obama thought Hillary was going to win anyway, and he didn't care enough about her to help her.
