and third, land rights- a wall is going to require eminent domain seizures on a lot of ranches that have been around for generations.
And many ranchers want the wall and will accept the payment that comes with it. Just leave gaps in the wall where the private land owner ranchers don't want it. Over time they will be begging for the wall as all the illegal immigration activity will be funneled to their land.

If this is so, then I definitely would understand their gripe as citizens. I'm tired of eminent domain. Until it happens to one of us we are ok with it, but until then we just have hot takes.
Everything I have read on the border towns is frightening as hell. I believe in common sense immigration that is built around the law. Right now we do not have that whatsoever--both sides have been on board that gravy train.
I don't like the wall, but believe there are other ways of enforcing the security of our borders. No one can step foot inside of Area 51 without a bullet entering your skull or an agent on your arse in less than 5 minutes tops. That area is huge out there. My family is best friends with a former police officer (retired) from the Las Vegas PD and he laughs about the border wall (although he voted for Trump) as he jokes commonly about how people attempt to break the perimeter of Area 51 and always get escorted in short-order.
Point being, is that if they truly wanted to enforce the border, they can do so without a stinking wall. The wall is just symbolic, and an expensive one.
As ya'll said, there will be a way to get people into this country with a wall or not. Until we actually show resolve in stopping them as soon as they cross then we won't win that fight with a wall, regardless.

Until it is Zero I don't give a damn!
We should get to decide who we allow in our country and we SHOULD NOT allow anyone who needs or tales ONE DIME of taxpayer assistance.
Only people who contribute more than they take, should EVER be allowed in our country.

No you are not.
You're tired of the 0.000000000000000001% eminent domain cases that make the press. 99.99% eminent domain cases get settled happily. Less than 1% make it to the courts and most of those are settled equitably per the 5th amendment and relatively a very very few cases make the press.
Without eminent domain we wouldn't be able to function as a country. Most eminent domain is assumed by most people. "Yeah, that's fine. You can run that fiber optic cable though my yard." "I hope they build the exit ramp here...we'll get a lot more business." "We need gas service in our neighborhood." "I hope they have three phase power in that neighborhood." "Boy, if they can construct another traffic lane that would really be nice." "My kids can't wait for the new rec facility with the skate park." Etc. Etc. Etc.

No sir, the American consumer will pay for it.
We pay for pretty much everything anyway... including houses, food, tvs, phones, insurance, power bills, etc for other consumers as well.
Funny.

Wouldn't it be cheaper and equally effective to just pound in a few stop signs here and there?

You do realize, that even if we pay for the wall 100% out of pocket,
it will more than pay for itself almost IMMEDIATELY> Even if Mexico never gives us a penny?
Lowering the cost of our immigration fight, war on drugs, etc etc.
Too many people are short sighted regarding this. We are spending exactly HOW MUCH on illegal aliens every year??????
So does not letting anymore cost burdens in, not save us money??????????????????/
