You liberals piss yourselves with glee every day goes by, and the wall isn't built. He builds the wall and you guys are now "well it's only a few miles".

You do realize the plan for the wall was never 1 monolithic wall like the great wall of China, right?

15 dollar avocados lets go

I'm fine with that. Meanwhile i'll buy local avocados for cheaper and help grow a US business.

FTR, who goes out and searches for "grown in Mexico" produce anyway? I do my best to buy American where i can especially with produce.

FWIW, Wilbur Ross sent a letter of intent to renegotiate NAFA on March 6, 2017 to the House Ways and Means Committee. The renegotiations can commence once comments are received from Ways and Means. They could respond immediately to start the negotiations however it appears they will hold out the entire 90 day review and consultation period.

So look for negotiations to begin in earnest on June 6, 2017.

That's when Trump will have the leverage to get wall funds appropriated.

When the fiscal budget has to be passed in October (after this weeks CR) Trump will say "Ryan give me border security/fence funding. I need ~$12 billion." Ryan will respond, "How will you pay for it? It needs to be revenue neutral to pass the senate." Trump will respond, "Mexico will pay for it and this is how." The "how" will start on June 6th.

You really think those children that are in the schools are going anywhere? Trump himself had now said that he's not going to deport dreamers. They are here to stay.

You really think if we leave our border open that the problem will decline instead of increasing?

We have several 100k people a year who immigrate here illegally.

Average cost K-12 public schools is 11k per child.
That is between 1.1 and 2.5 Billion a year that could possibly be saved by shutting down illegal immigration.

Will the wall do it by itself? NO will it cut it down by possibly half? probably.

Trump can't write a check unless funds are first appropriated by congress. That is very basic stuff.

How much are consumers paying now for the cost of illegal immigration with regards to social services, insurance rates, etc?

Funny how that always gets glossed over.

better than a wall, really

part of the wall will be allowing law enforcement more latitude with how to handle illegal immigrant detainees

when we said big, beautiful wall, we meant a broad, comprehensive border security initiative that could do far more than a static piece of border construction

Please tell me what location in the US other than cali is prime for growing avocados, compared places in Mexico, who is exporting them all over the world. One state cali does most of the growing. You won't be getting anything "local" and cheap.

No kidding. Now what are we to make of Trump's assumption that Congress would rubber stamp funding for the wall? Would that be his threats to primary them or some other sort of "Art of the Deal" nonsense?
