Ok. I'd love to see how you feed livestock and move manure in the winter.

We have a feed trailer. And why would i need to move manure? We don't let them by the house.

Also regarding feeding, we don't push the AU/acre so we don't have to supplement much. Helps having a shite load of land too. We're more worried about water out here.

I know enough to keep things moving.

We used 2.7 kWh.
If you're the one that is in Montana, I was stationed at Malmstrom in Great Falls in the early 90's. Got pretty warm in the summer (not souf georgia hot but still hot) and was definitely cold in the winter.

I'd need to be able to tow 20k lbs around 300 miles. There isn't an EV I'd want that will do that right now.
Assuming the avg EV is 3K lbs, to tow 20k lbs the truck will have to weigh 7500 plus. You'll be essentially moving 9 EV's. You'd have to have a battery with 1000kWh or so. Thats a big battery and it's gonna take a bunch of solar panels to charge.

Because it piles up where you feed 'em. I only have 30 head of cattle, but feed around 160 rolls of hay a year and rolls weighs 900 lbs plus or minus. They waste a good bit and leave lots of poop.

We don't do any hay and move them around between pastures so that's never been an issue. Like I said, we're only running at about 1/4 of our max AU/acre. We keep the cattle and horse mostly for tax reasons and to keep the family history going for the boys.

I normally use my GX or Taco but I've used my SIL's Model Y to do it before.

Conservatives should embrace the self-sufficiency of solar and EVs while strongly opposing the mandates being pushed.

What do they eat in the winter or in droughts? Lived in Altus Oklahoma for several years. Drove thru the 6666 ranch several times and they had a multitude tractors and hundreds of thousands of acres.

They cannot turn off my power or water without coming out here. Otherwise they would have to cut off the entire neighborhood. Good luck.

Question for the progressives:

Are electric cars heavier than other cars?

Does being heavier mean they will wear more rubber off tires?

Where does the power to charge said electric vehicles originate?

We've never had one so severe that we weren't able to keep them fed from the natural pastures. We have spend a ton on cedar remediation though so we probably have more and better grass than most in our area. And like i said, we don't push it. Even with last years drought we still didn't need to. We're only running about 1AU per 200 acres. We don't do it to make money.

A lot of people use them and they're convenient but we just never needed it.

Thats most likely not true. Most meters have a remote kill switch built in.

This doesn't make sense once you understand the domestic content restrictions on EV subsidies.

At some point in the future, if said push continues and ICEs become a relic of the past, there will be no EV subsides.

Yeah, their population issues are a great example of that. You should be betting on Chile and Australia. They have the most lithium. China's strangle hold on cathode material is not the issue many make it out to be because there are substitutes.

Unless you lease one, in which case the domestic content for EV subsidies doesn't exist.

Unless you are talking about something different than I am. In which case, never mind.

The bank that underwrites the lease gets it then if it's qualified.
