The same person who was held in contempt of court......for violating a Judicial Order......and was instrumental in assisting Obama with trampling the constitution? Sure, I'll take what he says into consideration lulz

Remember that this man was formerly the Attorney General for the United States. These people will blame everyone but themselves for the loss.
I watched it last night and I was amazed at how much the liberals just do no get it. The attitudes displayed on Maher's show last night were the reason that liberals lost.

If you're for a straight popular vote election, I can't see how you're not also against having states at all. I'm not saying it's a perfect system, but there has to be a way to allow all states to have a proportional say.

Which just goes to show how fricking stupid Holder is, because if there were the votes for this, Clinton would have kicked Trump's arse.
Ya, 38 states are required to ratify, and there is no fricking way that many states are going to make themselves matter even less.

50% of the landmass of California voted for Trump. Only the coastal and southern regions of Cali voted for Hillary, which is where the population is centralized. Basically, it's the same non-city people as the rest of the country that voted for Trump.
Yes, but still the 2.7 million vote differential is more votes than some states have combined. Idiots that demand the popular vote be the end-all for deciding a president are misguided and fail to grasp the idea of united states.

Holder is an idiot. The only change I would make is instant runoff like Canada, and states can do that on their own.

Is he slithering out from underneath his rock?!?! He needs to crawl back under with a copy of the Constitution for his perusal, since he's obviously a law school failure.

Then the next election they'll lose the popular vote and want to go back to Electoral College.
Liberals are just sore, pussified losers. They can't come to grips with America rejecting their ideals.

Step 1: Proposing an Amendment
Either Congress or the states can propose an amendment to the Constitution.
• Both houses of Congress must propose the amendment with a two-thirds vote. This is how all current amendments have been offered.
• Two-thirds of the state legislatures must call on Congress to hold a constitutional convention.
Step 2. Ratifying an Amendment
Regardless of how the amendment is proposed, it must be ratified by the States.
• Three-fourths of the state legislatures must approve of the amendment proposed by Congress, or
• Three-fourths of the states must approve the amendment via ratifying conventions. This method has only been used once, to repeal Prohibition with the 21st Amendment.
Good luck with that dickhead! MAGA!

There were a couple threads about ending it on here the week before the election.
The electoral college in an anachronism. It causes votes in a few swings states to be the only ones that matter. Amend the constitution, errbody's vote counts the same

0% chance of ending the EC with a constitutional amendment, but slightly greater than 0% chance that we could effectively go to a popular vote with the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, which would go into effect once passed in enough states to total 270 electoral votes.
Even that has very little chance to pass in the requisite number of states. It's really a bullshite way of bypassing the constitution. No surprise it's only passed in blue states.

Republicans will take that. Make sure every voter has a legit current ID and are still living and they win by a million. No more buses bringing in folks from other states

I would shoot myself if I knew all the left wingnuts in California and New York would hold that much sway in a popular election.
