Bill Maher is such a smug jackass, and I'd wager that Eric Holder is all for gerrymandering congressional districts to guarantee victory for candidates of a certain race.

50% of the landmass of California voted for Trump. Only the coastal and southern regions of Cali voted for Hillary, which is where the population is centralized. Basically, it's the same non-city people as the rest of the country that voted for Trump.

Holder should be hoping he gets pardoned.

Trump can remove executive privilege that sealed the fast and furious documents.

Algorithmically drawn congressional districts with each district getting 1 vote and the winner of each state gets two votes.

It would make each vote have basically the exact same weight and the candidates would have to campaign all over the country.

Well, it IS Eric Holder we're talking about, right?

I do hope these nitwits continue to whine about the EC though. Maybe they'll tie up major effort getting an Amendment passed

The losing side always whines about the electoral college.

Instead of "enjoying the melts", some of y'all seem to be getting even angrier. Who gives a shite what Eric Holder thinks?

I've been reading up on the EC and the more I read, the more it makes sense to keep it.
It is the fourth division of power. The power of the States (not individual citizens) to limit the power of the Federal government. It embodies the Tenth Amendment.

While I wholeheartedly disagree with ending the electoral college, he isn't technically saying "frick the Constitution" because if I recall correctly, he did state they'd need to go through the constitutional amendment process, which is the correct procedure.

Which just goes to show how fricking stupid Holder is, because if there were the votes for this, Clinton would have kicked Trump's arse.

I found it quite humorous how in the same two minutes holder and Maher criticized the GOP for disenfranchising voters then quickly advocated a change that would do nothing but disenfranchise voters

Yep. There's a .00001% chance you could get California and Texas to sign on but the other 48 states are guaranteed "go eat a dick!" votes.

He's just coming around to support the president-elect's views on the electoral college. It just took him 4 years.

Milking that contrarian thing for all it is worth

I highly doubt DJT even remotely understood the historical importance of the EC before he ran. And I doubt he fully understands it now.
