Arguably people who don't pray.

Anybody can pray. Therefore it's not discriminatory.

It doesn't matter what your religion is. The act of praying is what gets you a discount.

menu price is the SAME FOR EVERYONE.

No it isn't. It is 15% less for those who pray, in actuality.

What it says on the menu is irrelevant.

The prices are 15% less for those who pray. Those who are not capable of praying because of their closely held beliefs will pay a higher price. These are facts.

Again, this is all stupid anyway.

These are one in the same. By charging those who are praying less, they are charging those who refuse to pray more.

They're not the same. A Christian who doesn't pray doesn't get the discount. An atheist who does pray does get the discount.

I'm just playing a bit of devil's advocate.

Everybody is capable of praying.

Some choose not to pray.

Therefore, they CHOOSE not to accept a discount.

And anyone can pray. So, it is still the same for anyone.

This isn't difficult.

This is not the case, legally. If a closely held belief says you cannot pray, you are not capable of praying.

This just isn't true.

I don't know why I'm arguing this because I think the atheists are being assholes in this case.

I swear to god you progressives are the lower half of the Gaussian curve for IQ. there's no other explanation for this level of stupidity, and then the repeated defense of your idiocy. It's fricking mind-boggling.

its definitely dumb, but I can see why this might run into trouble. They are definitely discriminating based on religion.

Could atheists obtain this discount by faking to pray? Sure, they could. They could lie and pretend to pray to get the discount. Just as I could lie and say I was a student to get a discount at a museum.

eta: I fully support the diner to discriminate as they see fit, against blacks, atheists or really anyone.
