Sorry but I don't see the discrimination. As a business owner I should feel free to discount my product or service as I see fit.

The First Amendment prohibits FEDGOV from respecting an establishment of religion (i.e., no national church that all are compelled to support), which by the 14th Amendment is extended to the states.

And yes, employers can't let Christians take off every holy day they want but prohibit the Muslims from doing likewise.

I guess after the church bulletin discount, the next one will be the veterans/active military/first responders discounts.

No one is discriminating on the basis of religion even in this example. If you bowed your head and said a prayer to Gaia or Allah, you'd presumably get the discount. There's almost no difference between this and a coupon.

What about when it's somebody's anniversary and they get free dessert on the house?

That discriminates against people who aren't married because they will have to pay for their dessert and won't get it discounted.

So you think it is morally just for the institution of government to deny a private shop owner his right to give discounts?

If so, take a fricking hike, you authoritarian bag of donkey shite.

Yep. The definitions of pray:

: to speak to God especially in order to give thanks or to ask for something

: to hope or wish very much for something to happen

: to seriously ask (someone) to do something

Is one of them religious? Yep. Are the other two not? Yep.

Translation: if the discrimination is viewed as acceptable, then it's allowed.

Or what about how women get in free to clubs and guys have to pay.

Why is it legal for them to get a discount?

As an atheist, I would bow my head and fake pray to get the discount.

I would absolutely fake pray to get a 15% discount

I think it's silly that FFR is going after this business

But it's not discrimination.

Nobody is being denied food or service at the posted menu price. A discount is not a right.

What, exactly, is the discrimination here?
