Every State of the Union, every DNC or RNC there are guests that are honored or allowed to speak: War widows, parents, victims, etc. They are all used to a certain extent.

Were the Khan's used?

I don't remember an outrage over that.

Trump did use her, but that is still a pretty disgusting

Any person that appears with a politician is "being used." Pretty sure adults are able to evaluate if their goals are accomplished by their presence at a political event. Likely she wanted her husband and his sacrifice remembered. I think she's smart enough to determine decisions for her own life.

Kinda like what some people on the right did with the Khan family, right?

Every time a Democrat drops the facade and allows us a glimpse at their true nature and true beliefs, it's a good thing, because it reveals the Absolute Hate that drives their souls.

He's now deleted his entire Twitter profile and his company has blocked his work email account according to Twitter. I imagine they're getting blown up over him.

No. Completely the opposite. The facts of the two situations are completely different. The Khans took the podium to bash Trump.

The fact that you are too stupid or too partisan to see the difference is hilarious.

I'm not a dem or a repub- altho I did vote for Trump- so the whole childlike 'but so and so did it' excuse, regardless of who it came from, is nothing but pathetic to me.

There's a difference, but is it really an important one? Do you think Mrs. Owens would be fair game if she spoke publicly in support of Trump? I don't think so.

But your own political identity isn't relevant to what I said, so what's pathetic about it?

You're the one who's speculating about what some Democrats might do--you're inventing a scenario that makes Democrats look bad. I won't say it's pathetic, but it's at least as bad as the whole "but so and so did it" thing. At least what I pointed out actually did happen in reality.

Well yeah. There's a pretty big gulf between

"I'm here to celebrate my husband and I'm not saying anything pro or against anyone"

and

"Hey, look at me.......I think that guy over there sucks and my candidate is awesome".

Can you really not distinguish how the latter completely removes your Teflon?

It's a child's response, that's what's pathetic. Someone, some group, some party needs to rise above the mentality of 'got you last'.

Hmm, you've got a point there I suppose.
