We should know how this turns out for Brian, since the article was from October 2011.

Were you trying to blame Brian's tomato failure on President Trump?

Maybe they were legal? He didn't say illegal.

You must work for the government. Most businesses can't absorb price shocks and keep operating. Increased labor will result in increased consumer pricing.

Of course he didn't say illegal

I'm saying that if he has to pass those costs on to the consumers it's effectively an admission of guilt imo.. farmers hiring illegals are felons and should be treated as such. A focus on deportation is ridiculous.. start going after the people employing them and the carrot is gone.

Won't do it though. Cause then you'd have to piss in the farmer lobbies cheerios and that's political suicide.

Seems a bit overwrought, no?

No its not. Is your assumption illegals always make less than people with green cards or temp work visa? If so, your wrong.

If he was using illegal labor, it's his own fault.

Looks like Farmers are going to need to figure a new way of doing things.

I'm a farmer. Majority of our workers are from Mexico. We hire them legally. We're all still working happily and honestly. Production and harvesting hasn't changed.

Not sure what the problem is.

Always? No. Routinely? Yes. It's also worth mentioning that illegals do not have the same protections guest workers and U.S Citizens have.

Felons gonna felon though. This board has an awful lot of hate for illegals and not very much for the big businesses that are hiring them

Maybe this will cause Americans to start having 10 plus kids again to work the feilds because right now we are behind in reproducing.
