Perhaps he should pay more money to hire people to do the work so it works for both him and the employee.

Illegal labor puts downward pressure on wages. Don't you people dislike that?

Wow how did we get our crops before globalization and the rape of our country? I swear there were even white roofers and laborers back then.

How did we get any roads built? How did we build buildings? How did we manage to send men into space prior the 1965 Immigration Act and subsequent ignoring of border security?

It puzzles...

The point that businesses large and small depend on migrant labor which puts downward pressure on native wages

Jobs are now available for Americans? Is that the point?

This is bad and you should feel bad.

If it was relevant 6 years ago, why hasn't the economy collapsed already and why was I able to put a Roma in my omelette earlier?

On top of that would you agree that the tax payers are subsidizing this farmer, not in direct substities (also), but in taking care of possible illegal migrant workers?

Illegal labor shows the need for a $15/hour minimum wage (even for undocumented workers), which will magically have no negative effects on the economy.

This, or pay better wages to entice legal labor. I'll gladly pay a few cents more per tomato.

There is nothing wrong with GMOs intrinsically, it's the business practices behind the patents that are troublesome. We have been genetically modifying plants for millennia (crop selection is evolution), we've just figured out how to accelerate the process.
