ok. that. WHY did they let him on a plane? Why weren't they watching his every move?
remember this the same people that tel us there is no way we could ever find nor track illegal immigrants (ever go to Home Depot?) are telling us they can track every person in America with any mental impairment whatsoever if we just give them more power.

The Orlando shooter's wife disappeared in the middle of the FBI's investigation. They can't track their own arse.

Right. Well this just proves that they we are just a bunch of little ants to them. They don't care if we get sprayed with raid by a foreign invader

Being crazy is not illegal and it would be illegal for the FBI to track him.

On the other hand, why weren't his guns taken away? Oh that's right, the NRA thinks that crazy people should keep their 2A rights.

Why can't we agree that crazy people shouldn't have guns?

Because there is no way to regulate who Obtains guns. Do you really think he couldn't obtain a gun from anywhere? Steal one in a home invasion, robbery? Black market? Which brings us to your political parties mindset of banning all guns. It doesn't work either. See the UK.

No one wants crazy people to have guns. The issue is who defines crazy and how it's defined.

I, for one, think if someone self-reports to the FBI that should at least red flag them. Do we know that he purchased the gun after he went to the FBI?

No, but that sort of red flag should have led to confiscations and stuck with him. Would be nice to have that trigger an alert for TSA as well so they don't check his guns and ammo.

I have no problem with making the discussion about what mental disorders would lead to a gun ban. Clearly hearing voices (schitzo?) should do the trick.

This a true story or God strike me dead right now!
I was in Bangkok and met two nice guys who were also teaching English...$1000/month...I didn't realize they were Russians until a bit passed...well I'm not above asking anything, so I eventually asked."Why they didn't oust Putin?" and this was their shocking answer "Because we have no guns!" let that sink in for a while...

Therein lies the problem. An FBI agent need only have 'reasonable suspicion' to request A person be put on the no fly list- and our current administration now wants that same list of people to be Denied gun purchases... so basically there would no evidence required to deny flying or a gun purchase to a person (who also doesn't even have to be told a reason why or even that they are actually put onto the list to begin with) but yet it is illegal for the FBI to track or red flag to other agencies (like TSA) a guy who walks in and admits he's watched/ listened to Isis propaganda and is feeling forced to join Isis...

And yet there are still people wondering how these sorts of attacks continue to happen....

Hearing voices is enough to take a person's property, so what about his 1st, 4th, and 5th amendment rights as well?

So anyone that "hears voices" is basically a ward of the state.

I'm not gonna lie man, I see some holes in this plan. Mainly, the ridiculous inconsistency in the application of the bill of rights.

Never would have guessed. So it was not the loon but a terrorist?

Still begs questions of having ammo and gun in a bath room at an airport.

The report I saw was he had the guns and ammo in his checked suitcase.

He picked up his suitcase then went to a restroom in the baggage claim area to lock and load.
