How is this spun by the liberals?

you tell your wife and children to stay out of areas with graffiti saying

P STONE NATION.

believe it.

there are enormous AA and Latino gangs. levels with little kids.
selling drugs, women, makes Al Capone seem a piker.

the solution would seem to be economic opportunity.
I imagine that if you are 10 years old and someone offers you real money to be a low level worker one summer you stay with the company/gang.

They blame it on boardering states and the police department.

Police departments take credit when crime goes down.

Just saw that Jesse Jackson marched with hundreds down Michigan Ave to commemorate the murder victims...

Typical stupidity from the left like him. March in the area that is safer than any other major American city I have been in, instead of where you should be focusing your efforts... The West and South of downtown.

Not that I recall. IIRC you just asked about NYC and LA?

quote:

And yes you can pretty much use any large city as an example. Overall crime is down in cities. That's been an accepted fact in this thread. Are you disputing that?

1. Did you not read the NYT link that I posted earlier?

quote:

Murder rates rose significantly in 25 of the nation’s 100 largest cities last year, according to an analysis by The New York Times of new data compiled from individual police departments.

Murder rate up in 25 of America's largest cities

2. This thread is about homicide not the overall crime rate. Did you not read the thread title?

Lots of red states and several red cities on that list.

Ok. Then violent crime is down. Murders are down. Thanks for the correction.

Houston, Irving and Lubbock, Texas are infested with illegals who have brought high rates of drug violence, prostitution and murder. Hth.

Is that anecdotal or are there statistics to support that claim?

Murder rates up in 25 of the largest cities means that they are flat or down in 75 of the 100 largest cities, right?

What red cities?

You ignorant fricking piece of shite. Black people commit half the murders even though they are 12% of the population. The high murders are wherever THEY are and they are 93% blue.

I don't give a frick if they are a blue area in a broader red area, they are still blue and still the focus of the problem. frick you.

You're clearly not following the discussion. We're talking politics. Did you even bother looking at the list of cities before bringing up race?

I do believe homicide is on the upswing for 2016. It's an abrupt end to a long downward trend

But I really don't give a frick anymore. You're racist for pointing it out, racist for ignoring it. I'll just ignore it.

That confirms it, you are either high or too stupid to read.

quote:

The F.B.I. released its 2015 crime data for the entire country on Sept. 26. It showed that the murder rate rose 11 percent across the United States in 2015, jumping more last year than it had in nearly half a century.

It might help if you actually read the links that were posted.

quote:

Violent crime is on the rise so far this year in major cities across the US compared to the number of homicides, rapes, robberies, assaults and shootings that occurred in the same cities by this point in 2015, a new report has found.

The midyear violent crime survey released Monday by the Major Cities Chiefs Association shows 307 more homicides so far in 2016, according to data from 51 law enforcement agencies from some of the largest US cities.
In addition to a large increase in homicides, major cities in the US have experienced more than 1,000 more robberies, almost 2,000 more aggravated assaults and more than 600 non-fatal shootings in 2016 compared to this time last year. The only category of violent crime not reflecting an increase when compared to last year is rape.
LINK

In addition to the murder rate rising in 2015, the murder rate continued to rise in 2016.

According to the FBI's numbers, violent crime including homicide have been on an upswing since 2014.
