Not really. It's usually based on general observations and associations. Black men represent roughly 6-7% of the population yet commit almost half the violent crime in this country.

Just because he said something like what you said to the TV cameras doesn't mean that's what he said in his official testimony. And according to people who have read his official testimony over the course of the investigation, his statements were consistent.

Because of the incentives built into the drug war (which the cops didn't want in its early days) which has turned the entire focus squarely on blacks, despite whites committing felony infractions at a pace AT LEAST equal to blacks...and in absolute numbers greatly in excess of the black numbers.

That is circular and not true. My main focus is drug crimes, as the drug war is really a war on blacks. If it had been prosecuted symmetrically from Day 1, then you wouldn't be saying "blacks are more criminal". Unfortunately, it was prosecuted almost solely against blacks (just look at the 100:1 crack: cocaine mandatory sentencing idiocy) which has basically created an entire criminal underclass for you to casually dismiss. Go back to my example of the black kid entering the system (for life, effectively) if he is caught with a joint vs the white kid who smokes with impunity. Again: if white teenagers were being swept up in proper numbers for FELONY drug use/possession, then the entire drug war would go away and we would no longer have the luxury of just calling all blacks "criminals".

I agree with you that it's a problem. But as you know, an illegal drug trade (with insatiable demand from white America) needs to be policed. When policing happens outside the law (aka the mafia) it's going to be violent. Effectively, white users have outsourced the policing to the less fortunate while enjoying a free-flowing supply of illegal drugs. We should turn a sharp eye to the demand side and start cracking down and then see how long the system stays in place.
