While I'm not totally against what you have said , you might want to consider a few things.

1) Louisiana ranks about 42nd in average income
2) Louisiana ranks 19th-20th in terms of cost of living
3) Louisiana is quite byzantine in the way that it funds public education .
4) Louisiana gutted Vo-Tech education in its public schools - not everyone is going to go to college
5) Louisiana politicians have a vested interest in keeping people poor

The first two are a big problem. Basically it takes a big chunk of your income just to keep the roof over our head ...and your employer won't or can't pay you anywhere close. Sales taxes are too high as well as the state "fees" that are like hidden taxes

Sure. Kids whose parents sold their EBT cards are going hungry for dinner. They're eating at school for free. And may have a backpack sent home on the weekends with food (that's what they do here in Missouri). But that's not really a defense of your position, is it?

You don't be talking about white folks here.

Umm, do you have any reading comprehension. They aren't saying that they should get anything because they are white. They are saying people are merely frustrated that there are plenty who ARE being GIVEN opportunity through government sanctioned avenues such as Affirmative Action or other welfare programs. And they aren't going to get the same government sponsored "cuts in line" since they are white and don't have a "racial handicap" to overcome.

My only "position" is that flippantly stating "ain't nobody going hungry in this state" is patently false and a disservice to people exactly like the ones you described: those who have no control over their own situation (kids).

But that problem is unable to be fixed in the main. Meth and coke head parents aren't going to feed their kids no matter how much aid the state gives them. So it's a rebuttal with no reason.

Democrats have a long and disgusting history of being vile racists and they have recently become very adept at disguising it via programs masquerading as "help" but are really designed to stymie ambition and self-worth for the purpose of maintaining a solid base of voters.

Has anyone pointed out that it seems you talked to people from Louisiana for 3 years before Trump was even on the radar politics wise? Yet somehow you knew they were Trump voters all along?

These people aren't skipping you in line--- our political social and economic systems disenfranchised them for the longest time and now we are bringing them up to speed.

All the bullshite rambling from this guy goes back to this one statement. The rest is just filler.

Damn all that guilt must weigh heavily on your empty head.

I was thinking the same thing....

They didn't.

Here is what they did: They projected their stupid beliefs onto a Red State.

Only problem is that like most Progs, they do not know their history.

Louisiana has been run by Democrats the vast majority of its existence. We've had, what, 3 R Govs since Reconstruction, and 2 or 3 R Senators?

Hell, LA went blue for Clinton in 96.

Did this person also know three years ago LA would elect an Obama wannabe for Governor? How did they explain that away?

What a shitty OP by a shitty, ignorant poster.

As a LA Resident, full tax payer, and former Democrat that helped vote for a lot of these problems that government created, I can tell you that people like me are sick at what "big govt" help has done for the state. It has literally robbed the few producers left blind, while holding the others hostage on the plantation.

Problem is, there is no way to leave the plantation, thus the pissed off people who now support something other than the uniparty that brought us this mess.

Then you are only hearing what your bias allows you to hear. You appear to be making the classic Leftist mistake in thinking "equality of opportunity" equates to "equality of outcome".

Being white isn't enough to get you a high paying job with a low paying skill set anymore.

It never has been. Contrary to the BLM Fantasy Land travel pamphlet you've memorized, even when racism was strident to the point of separate drinking fountains no one got a job "just because they were white" unless they were the only white person to apply.

quote:

For what? Because what? You're white? There is no skil in that.

There's no skill in being black either, but Affirmative Action has sought to make it one.

If you don't read the link I want you to know my "Not so fast" comment is not an attack on Trump but instead a comment of the seemingly insurmountable task of cleaning up the evil that is running our world and infiltrated our government that Trump faces.

Bro, are you drunk?

Affirmative action and "diversity within the workplace" is EXACTLY that, except it's for being non-white. It isn't merit-based; it's sex, race, etc. based.

Equality has been perverted into meaning equal outcome, not equal opportunity. This is what upsets enough people to vote for Donald Trump to be president.

That's how bad it's become.

Hmmm...DD...pretty astute analysis. You should see if Trump will put you to work in the Natl. Security sector.
