Are you completely ignorant of economics? Have you heard of the great recession? Is this the same line you would have said to the faces of people in the unemployment lines during the great depression?

You are getting down votes from a bunch of clear thinking people who revile your racist attitude toward white people. When did wanting to get ahead in life equal "clinging to whiteness"?

What about the blacks and Hispanics who voted for TRUMP? DID they want to return to a "White" society too? The women?

You are a piece of fricking shite man, no doubt about it.

Who supports the continued and even extension of the nanny state?

You are no a fiscal conservative sir. Trump voters, by and large, want the level playing field. no quotas, lower taxes (less nanny state), more reliance on self, not the government.

I feel like this guy is a little slow.

e lazy hacks won't do the jobs the illegals will because they feel entitled to high paying jobs for their shitty skill sets. Cost of production is too high. They have their nose in the air for no reason. There are people out there that can do the job for 1/20 the price and better. The Americans NEEDS TO GET BETTER.

Sounds like dems are washing their hands of these people (dispute having a major hand it creating them). Good luck winning an election without them in the next 50 years.

Being white isn't enough to get you a high paying job with a low paying skill set anymore.

What the hell do you think we are complaining about?!?

Yeah, frick Muhammad because he came and is taking over the world of medicine. You really want this to be the narrative, but it's not.

America has low, if not the lowest, skill set immigrants coming into the country. Canada takes in mostly high-skilled workers in contrast, as do most other countries try to do.

Yes, our country has many low-skill set workers out of jobs that have a hard time getting into the workforce, but the immigration is most of the damn reason they can't find a job.

Affirmative action and things alike have shown to take away spots from significantly qualified white individuals and give them to significantly unqualified other individuals, who have shown to have lower graduation rates and scores as their counterparts after enrolling. If anything, most intelligent white people know they have to pull out the kitchen sink to get into any kind of prestigious school because the odds, are in fact, stacked against them whether you believe it or not. This can be very similar for certain jobs.

The problem right now is that the unsuccessful minorities, because Asians don't count remember, are getting benefits and many feel they are undeserving. Welfare is also a thing being taken advantage of in the US, and I've seen examples from all parties. This entitlement is an American thing, not just white

quote:

All these poor people have to hold onto is their whiteness...and because that's all they have, they think they are entitled to everything.

You're so fricking racist it's unreal. Pardon my white supremacy, but you think all WHITE poor people feel like this? What would make them feel like this? What would make you feel like they feel like this?

You realize that most of the poor population isn't white right? Only 10% of white families are poor. They make up around 2/5's of the poor population in the US.
Most of the white people that would be complaining would be the ones that are not poor. There are other poor people that love the government, including white people.

You are really doing yourself a disservice with such intellectually lazy stereotyping. Yes, there are people that meet the criteria. The article, which you evidently did not read, is much more nuanced. White middle class workers who busted their arse for decades are now feeling a squeeze that is not their own doing, like you insist. Is someone who has worked in manufacturing for 40 years, makes 60k, and never went to college (because back then, these jobs didn't require it let alone a Masters or something) supposed to go back to school at age 60 something? We're in a transitioning society and the economy is becoming highly specialized and the market for respectable, well-paying 'blue collar jobs' isn't what it used to be. People who have worked earnestly for their entire lives are struggling, despite what you say. It's a much more complicated scenario than you put forth.

MoJo is socialist trash.

Wanna know wny Trump did bigly in LA? Read V.O.Key's 1948 "Southern Politics". Particularly the 'friends and neighbors' voting patterns sections. Democrats forgot this critical factor and bought the big lie that losers of every stripe would unite behind them... Perhaps but not enought juice to defeat, FAN voting behavior. FAN is basis behind silent majority, bitter clingers, flyover country, etc...

You are patiently standing in the middle of a long line stretching toward the horizon, where the American Dream awaits. But as you wait, you see people cutting in line ahead of you. Many of these line-cutters are black—beneficiaries of affirmative action or welfare. Some are career-driven women pushing into jobs they never had before. Then you see immigrants, Mexicans, Somalis, the Syrian refugees yet to come. As you wait in this unmoving line, you're being asked to feel sorry for them all. You have a good heart. But who is deciding who you should feel compassion for? Then you see President Barack Hussein Obama waving the line-cutters forward. He's on their side. In fact, isn't he a line-cutter too? How did this fatherless black guy pay for Harvard? As you wait your turn, Obama is using the money in your pocket to help the line-cutters. He and his liberal backers have removed the shame from taking. The government has become an instrument for redistributing your money to the undeserving. It's not your government anymore; it's theirs.

That's an interesting way to put it.

He spent 5 years formulating his own narrative about what constitutes people on the right in Louisiana, but failed at coming up with the correct answer.

Louisiana votes conservative because Louisianians hold true to the American ideals we were founded upon, in spite of everything else. What's missing in this nonsense is the fact that this country has drifted sharply from those ideals, and so that's why Louisiana doesn't work well. It doesn't benefit from most of its contributions in natural gas and oil, and perhaps that's in part due to our own stupidity in allowing it to be taken advantage of by politicians and corporations, as well as the US government, it's also largely the fault of corruption at all levels of government, the government that Louisianians believe less is best.

And truth be known, the more you hurl racial accusations at the people here, the more entrenched they become at every insult. WHY? Well, surely an educated people should be able to figure this out. I like to refer to it as human freaking nature. It's the same reason why you don't win arguments or sway anyone to your side by insulting them. You make them stronger and more dogmatic in their opposition to you. So keep it the frick up. You've been doing it for a long time, and at some point you'd think such educated people would come to the obvious conclusion that it doesn't work.

frick you, on every possible personal level. You speak like someone who has never had to watch your father get fired because they could hire an illegal off the books for $5 an hour.

Yeah, and then you blame the illegal. How about blame the company who just BROKE THE LAW!!! Hire a lawyer and sue them. Turn them in. Blame the government for allowing it. Document everything and go to your Congressman. Go to their office. Show them what happened. Then go to the Media. Tell what that COMPANY did. Why do we just blame the immigrants?

Instead you seethe in rage against the illegal. Why don't you direct the anger where I should go. The COMPANY who is the real ILLEGAL.

Maybe you were a kid when that happened. If so, I understand. But, you are fighting in the wrong direction. If companies made up of AMERICANS would stop screwing over their neighbors, this wouldn't be happening. We blame the immigrants because we don't want to deal with what really happened. The people we shop with, go to church with, and watch high school football with are involved in screwing their neighbors by BREAKING THE LAW. They are the ones you should be mad at.

And, the suburban housewife does the same when she hires Lucinda to come clean her house for nothing. Don't blame Lucinda who fled poverty and drug gangs in Central America and now lives in poverty in an old house across town. Blame AMERICANS who want something for nothing and then want to blame those that they used for their own benefit.

I'm sorry that your father lost his job. I really am. It angers me. But, I know why he lost his job. It is because an employer decided to move his work off the books and illegally pay someone who was desperate and willing to take it and who had no access to welfare or any other entitlement that our government doles out to millions who don't work. Blame the immigrant all you want, but your ire is misdirected by the people making a killing off cheap labor.
