You can argue polls all you want but the fact is that the best polling has him at 50% of the Republican voters.
You chastise for arguing polling, and then use polling? The fact is, whatever he is polling at is significantly higher than any other republican running. Lost cause? No.

If you consider the country at an even split between the two parties, this means that Trump will probably only get 25-30% of the electorate in the general. So, do you want to just support Trump or do you want to win and start to set things right?
This needs to be considered. If he loses, the GOP across the board loses. Gawd knows what the dems will do then with everything.

I think you should start more threads about it.

Sounds like a good idea but what does everyone do with all that merchandise they bought for the last 7 years? That’s a lot of hats, banners, posters, flags, trading cards, action toy figures, and sex toys to just throw away in one garbage pickup.

Not at all. There is a dude in Florida busting down the establishment without all of the baggage.
He’s not busting up shite. You’re buying into exactly what they want you to. Or…you’re just dishonest.

Say Desantis wins. Let's say he attacks the deep state and starts ripping out the rotten weeds by the roots. What do you think will happen? They will do to Desantis what they are doing to Trump and you'll start a thread saying Desantis is a lost cause, why don't we elect Paul Ryan.
Of course they'll attack DeSantis but it seems like people are ignoring the fuel Trump gives to those against him. The things he says, the way he acts, etc. The point from DeSantis supporters I think is that he'll simply handle it better and doesn't have the negative attributes that Trump has. Like it or not Trump does himself no favors with the stupid shite he says and as far as "draining the swamp", this is a guy that hired people like John Bolton who the whole world knows is a pure 100% swamp war monger, and after that mistake his correction is to campaign with Lindsay Graham, another pure 100% swamp war monger. I really want to understand how anybody thinks he's going to drain the swamp like this

They will do this to anyone who stands in their way. Letting them have Trump's scalp and trying to fight this war all over again with another candidate only makes it harder to win.
The Ronbots will never understand this!

Set things right?
How is he going to do that specifically? I’m genuinely interested.

The Left hasnt even started with DeSantis yet. They will get to him once they have finished Trump. Lets be real.
Which ammo is DeSantis giving them?
I think that latest Indictment is pure garbage, and I hope that it’s thrown out like garbage.I also think that the GA thing is garbage.
But Mar A Lago is not garbage. Is it a double standard when compared to Hillary? Yes. But the problem with Trump is that he is his own worse enemy. He doesn’t have the self-control to not do stupid things. And he’s not the only one suffering because of his lack of self-control. The conservative movement is.
Is the short term thrill of voting for Trump, worth losing the General, and with it the House, Senate, and SCOTUS?
If you’re looking for vengeance against the Swamp, you first need to nominate someone who has a record of going after the Swamp, and who can win the General.

oh wait. I just realized that this thread is the lib/OnlyRons circle jerk thread. I retract my participation.
Carry-on.
Yep..Ronbots and Dems are coming out of the sewer to bash Trump!

Where is the bashing? Examples?

Oh my bad. I didn’t realize you’re using poll numbers to prognosticate he’s a lost cause 14 months before the election - while he’s overwhelmingly leading his parties nomination.
You're speaking to idiots so save your breath!

Uh huh. And you all claimed Desantis never shut down Florida until that video was posted. He was all too happy to shut down businesses and beaches.

You're objectively lying or a Democrat posing for chaos.
Any objective conservative can admit that Desantis has been an extremely effective conservative governor that has fricked the progs worlds up in Florida.

He made some moves early when little was known about covid and quickly reversed them. Against Trump's wishes.
Trump gave Fauci a fricking medal the day before he left office a year later and STILL claims his vax and trillions in stimulus, while pushing to shut things down, saved the country.
You frickheads just ignore that.

The only way any R has a chance is if every one of them go all in against the Biden regime. Make the #1 priority rooting out radical bureaucrats (ie cutting budgets). Of course, that will never happen.
It’s a very circular issue. Trump dropping out the race is essentially allowing the democrats to win the lawfare campaign, even if it it is true they would have eventually beaten him because of that campaign. Anyone that attacks him will be seen as an enemy, which will quell excitement in the electorate, making it less likely for any other R to win.
I don’t see any R winning this election, and it’s sadly because of how the dems have treated Trump. They have made him “unelectable” and a martyr at the same time. Their abuse uniting the conservatives was the best shot we had, instead it created a fracture
Trump absolutely was bullheaded and selfish in his approach to this election. He has no allies, and he needs them more than ever.
It’s all frustrating. Personally, the only thing that matters to me politically is that the democrats (and all other DC BS regardless of party)are held accountable and changes to our government begin to be made. I just don’t see the clear path at accomplishing that at all.
