At what point do people realize that Trump is a lost cause?

I'm not talking about if he is guilty or innocent. We all know that these charges are 100% garbage. I'm simply wondering if with Trump, maybe he's been beaten (right or wrong) and he's now more of a liability. I don't see him winning the general election at all. You can argue polls all you want but the fact is that the best polling has him at 50% of the Republican voters. If you consider the country at an even split between the two parties, this means that Trump will probably only get 25-30% of the electorate in the general. So, do you want to just support Trump or do you want to win and start to set things right?

Apparently we can't have an honest conversation about uncomfortable truths.

In other words, go along to get along?

More of the same?

Looks like everyone got the same script. The variation on the same theme is laughable.

Too much Hopium in the air. We all know we don’t want what we currently have. Still hoping for the better candidate to rise. Not retread.

If a deal was struck that Trump would be thrown in jail and all politicians and department heads who either lied or engaged in any illegal or unethical acts to sway an election were also removed from office and jailed, I'd take that.

Trump is a symbol. It's not about the man for me. I hate what our federal government and institutions have become with a deep burning passion. Until the rot is severed, I want this worthless government in chaos. frick em all.

Not at all. There is a dude in Florida busting down the establishment without all of the baggage.

Like when DeSantis took on the Federal government at seemingly every turn?

This is what they want. They’re just breaking you down overtime.

People like you are the reason this country will fail. Got the right idea but let the most obvious targeting of a former president beat you down.

Set things right?

Have you just ignored the last 4 decades of American politics? What do you consider "setting things right" and who, exactly, do you think is going to do that?

Trump was about exposing and he's done that. Too many, however, seem to enjoy fooling themselves that we were heading anywhere near a positive direction prior.

He’s not a lost cause. He’s the only person who can and should lead and fix this country given what it’s done to him.

I can think of no one better experienced.

Anyone else and you’ve conceded victory to the establishment, and they will have cemented a recipe to remove those they don’t like.

If you like that kinda thing - move to Russia or China.

If I wrote stories saying how bad of a person Mike Trout was for 8 years and threw shite in the wall that he was cheating would that make that true? Should not team pay him to play because I wrote 8 years of stores and 8 years of allegations?

Nah they should just get the guy who is having success in AAA because he might be just as good without the baggage. But jokes on them, I’m going to write the same articles and allegations against the AAA kid when he gets to the big leagues.

He exposed and then he did nothing about it whatsoever. In fact, he only empowered the swamp.

What an original thought. Never thought about it like this.

This is getting comical. I thought he was about draining the swamp, now it's "well, he exposed it" as if he conducted a big sting operation. If I walk down the wrong street in Baton Rouge at 3 AM and get mugged and the guy gets away with it, did I expose a mugger?
