So you've turned down business to avoid hiring one additional employee because you didn't want to provide health insurance to your employees? Is that what I'm understanding?

Your employees must love their lack of healthcare. I'm surprised you can keep 49 people. Congrats on being a dick.

I am but one data point, but my company went from 12 employees to 64 during those eight years. Annual revenue went up 7x over what it was. Obamacare was merely a small speed bump because we had to do some work on the admin side. Blaming or praising whoever is in the White House for your growth/lack of growth is stupid. Take a calculated risk. Grow your company. Sorry OP doesn't have the balls to do it.

I am old enough to remember when liberals gave away their money.

You have been turning away work since 2010 because you hated Obama. Now he is no longer president and you are still a loser. 7 years of holding back on expansion during the best 7 year stretch since the 90's... sorry, that ain't winning.

I mean, the level of leftist business knowledge is really something to behold.

I see your point. Once you hit that employee number mark your expenses & internal work load goes through the roof. You have a boatload more expenses just to do the same job.
Exactly. Whatever your company size, the act of hiring a person is basically a statement that says, "the additional work I will receive from this person will create results that will at least balance out what this persons costs".
However, if the act of hiring the one person suddenly explodes your cost of doing business as if you'd just hired 20 new people, it may be completely cost prohibitive to do.
You may well be able to see that EVENTUALLY, having 100 employees would be worth it. But, you'd be bankrupt before getting there.
The fact that liberals don't understand this is truly a testament to why the left creates stupid economic policy.

Honest question: what kind of business are you running that requires 49 employees but doesn't provide healthcare? Seems like you would have a very hard time hiring without healthcare benefits.

Split the company into two separate entities on paper. Problem solved. What the hell is wrong with your accountant?

I suspect what's wrong with his accountant is he doesn't want to go to jail.

Obama's economy sucks. People take what they can get.

Why not just hire a bunch of part time people? 2 part time people working 20 hours a week = 1 full time person working 40.

He makes a vague post, and I'm supposed to easily discern the complete picture he's trying to paint? I've been in the business world over 20 years. I've looked at more financial statements than I can count. I understand how these things work. His post was vague, hence my questions. I was trying to understand his situation a little better.
