We have more work than we can get done. We turn down work constantly. But... we're at 49 employees. We canceled plans to hire on March 21, 2010.
We almost moved forward recruiting about a month ago... once again off the table. F*CK.
I'm thinking it's time to start looking offshore... The US is not a place to invest your capital anymore.

This thread is a great example of where we are in America today.
Here we have an OP who is a producer. Without people like the OP, government, and in essence Progressives, have no money to seize.
Yet here is this producer, sharing why he can't continue to grow due to constraints by the government, and he's being mocked by the very people who live their lives fleecing their fellow citizens. Not only is he being mocked, but he is being personally attacked while doing so.

Sickening, but this is the new reality. I guess the silver lining here is that the OP at least won't be attacked with physical violence by the vermin on the left since no one knows who he is.

Pretty sure the law is written in such a fashion that affiliates/subsidiaries with common (i.e., the same) ownership are to be considered a single "employer" for the purposes of the 50 employee trigger.
