I grew up conservative as hell, huge Reagan fan, campaigned for HW Bush in 3rd grade, and stayed faithful to the party, however I DID NOT like the Neocon movement and hate those (McCain, Graham) still embracing it. Although Trump has his imperfections, I am glad we elected the first anti-establishment president and are sort of phasing the neo-con shite out.
Anybody else feel this way?

Neoconservatism is evil, plain and simple. It is a doctrine that requires perpetual war around the globe, a massive surveillance apparatus and huge deficits.

Neoconservatives would gladly send Americans overseas to die, not because the homeland was threatened, but because of some vague platitude that it was in our interest to do so.

If conservatism is a political philosophy meant to limit the size and scope of government and enshrine the value of human life, neoconservatism is 180 degrees its opposite.

TRUMP knows how to use the threat of war to negotiate his way out of war.

At this point, I'd consider McCain a Democrat.

Neocons are trending out, in small part thanks for Ron and Rand Paul. I'd like to take this moment to address all those that said Ron "never accomplished anything" in Congress.

Raises hand.

We don't need anymore of them. They screwed up the last decade so badly that it paved the way for an anti-American race-baiting community agitator who almost destroyed us.

Thanks, Karl (Rove, not Marx).

In what respects is Trump's foreign policy materially different than US foreign policy of the last 20+ years?

By Neocons do you mean the people who were former Trotskyists? People like Wolfowitz, Abrams. Do you mean the roots of neoconservatism from the Jewish Journal Commentary? The people like Daniel Bell, Irving Kristol, and Daniel Patrick Moynihan, and Norman Podheretz?

Are happy they are trending out because they represent a Trotskyist Republican foreign policy that is still our foreign policy? If you look at Trump's foreign policy it is still Trotskyist. We intervene in Syria and it looks like Trump will intervene in more places. A key component of Trotskyist-Neocon foreign policy is increasingly going alone and causing rifts in NATO is well within the neocon movement

I find it a great historical outcome that the conservative Republican Party's foreign policy is Trotskyist, internationalist, and still supporting global revolution.

I'd say that's a 180 from the neocon foreign policy approach of nation building!

The next time Trump has the military invade another country & camp out for 10 years for the purpose of "nation-building," let me know.

In fact, please tell me if he ever tries to prop up the bloodthirsty Muslim Brotherhood in some ME country like Egypt, too.

1. You're a brainwashed douche bag if you think even the neocon movement was close to Trosky. Trosky wanted to create a communist empire takeover of the whole world, hence why Stalin went after him. For you to say that leads me to believe you're one of those "flamboyant" people, who over-exaggerate everything they say therefore can't be taken seriously. Find me one place where a neocon (and I can't believe I'm defending them) ever advocated a global takeover!
2. You never answered my question the other night on this forum about what it is you actually do for a living! Letting us know that you're PhD in philosophy student working at Starbucks and living in your mom's basement would allow us to ignore you more easily moving forward.
