The crazy thing is that these people seem to think they are trapped in a state they hate and is filled with nothing but inbred rednecks. If I woke up everyday as miserable as they are I'd sure as shite find some way to leave. Life is too short to live like that.

Sometimes you just have to make the best of it where you're at....

But both sides in this state are just as corrupt and/or incompetent as each other. Aside from a few stragglers all of the white non-radical leftist democrats have migrated to the Republican Party. No changes in policy mind you, just brand name.

The remnants of that party are controlled by that corrupt bastard Joe Reed.....though at the local levels New South may hold more water.

Guys like Robinson - who sold
Out his own people - are no different from Hubbard who used his office for personal gain. Then you got the weirdos like Bill Hightower whose connected to "the family". Or Pat Todd who "works for a lobbyist" but doesn't. Or Napoleon Bracy and Vivian Figures who want to be d-list players for indefensible criminals

Hopefully someday people will wake up in this state

These people would really be miserable anywhere because they are miserable people. However, bitching about a problem they can fix but choose not to just makes them look like a dum-dums.

All politicians are either corrupt or on their way.
The reason that many politicians here run as democrat-lite is because prog policies aren't popular here (outside of inner cities-Birmingham and Montgomery(somewhat)).

I don't care much for either at this point but I hope Moore wins because he pisses off the left.

I'd prefer him up there rather than the governors mansion. That's the true reason Kay called for this special election.

bring out way more turnout than 15% we are seeing from today

I know if you voted in the D primary you can't vote in the R runoff, but if you didn't vote at all can you vote in the runoff? I think you can, but if you can't, that does not bode well for Strange.

I have not seen anything that says you can't vote in the runoff if you didn't vote at all during the primary.

Against Tommy Battle in the primary, Moore would get destroyed, so it really doesn't matter. Moore has run for Governor a few times and lost in extreme fashion all times.

He can't cause as much trouble in the senate as he could as governor.
So,there's that as well.

I'd rather have super conservatives pissing dem-progs than progressives pissing me off.
Plus, it could be entertaining.
