Like my fellow Oregonians want, what would the Midwest, Southeast do?

For those downvoting, I think they're full of shite.

United States of America

I've said it before here. It's similar to how the senate and house work. All states get two senators, congressional represention is based on population.
Population factors into representation without completely dimishing state representation

Major population centers would speak for rural America. Wyoming would be at the mercy of LA and NYC.

We would be underrepresented and cities like NYC, Chicago, and LA would have most of the voice.

You would have to have a runoff election in a year like this year. Or, if you refuse to do run-off elections, you could have 3-4 parties, and have someone elected with 27% of the vote.

That's one good reason to keep the electoral college.

Abolish the Senate then, too. Same principle...right?

I argue that the Electoral College is like Affirmative Action for minority states. I don't win them over, but they at least shut up
