I live in Cali. It's pretty damn nice. I think more rednecks need to move out here and run the Cali natives North to Oregon and Washington.

But I am curious how the babies, toddlers, and young children will climb it!
How is anyone going to climb a rope that is simply thrown over a 30ft wall? Hell, I'd like to see mcwant climb an anchored rope vertically for 30 feet. He likely begged out of gym class so he likely has no idea how difficult climbing a rope straight up actually is.
Once you get to the top you can hang all sorts of things.

The idea isn't to try and build a force field. They want to create a structure that is not penetrable or scalable in under a certain time frame, say 30 minutes. This gives agents time to intercept.

How much did we pay for the exhibition?
About the cost to society of what 1 criminal, alien, rapist, drug runner cost over about 1 year when you figure in all the welfare bennies+...just a guess.

They cheered as Obama pissed away 10 trillion of their tax dollars. Now, they care about spending a few million.

You idiot. Please explain how you would climb a thirty-foot rope that is not anchored. A rope that is thrown over somehow.
You have obviously never tried to throw a rope because throwing a rope strong enough to support micro-Mexicans
over 30 feet in the air would be impossible. Go find a three-story building and throw 40-50 feet of rope to the top holding the end your dumb arse intends to climb.
You should probably walk away from this one, Sally. Bake some cookies, knit a sweater or something instead. This is way above your ability to comprehend and that's pretty sad.

Amazing how no one can comprehend this when espousing the wall won't work. Something tells me our border will now, if not already, be surveilled like it never has been before.

How the frick does that 3rd picture make any sense?
Being able to see the other side is important for safety reasons. It's how most of the current wall looks.

I've been to Cali and it is pretty nice!
But like any zoo, it's a great place to visit, but you wouldn't want to live there!
Pardon a suggestion, but instead seeking help in driving "the Cali natives North to Oregon and Washington", why don't we run the illegal aliens out?!

Plus the fact it will keep rain water from funneling to specific locations creating washouts. Also allows little varmints to slide in and out of.

It depends. I am a block from the beach and it's nice which is why I say more of us rednecks need to take it over.

And lefties say that's not going to do anything to keep people out ... Dear God, they're massive

you need to build the wall through the middle of California. We need the wine country.

It really doesn't matter, $20 million isn't a high price for the total project in the scheme of things.
Agree. This is the scheme of things:
Steven A. Camarota, research director at the Center for Immigration Studies, crunched the numbers and found that the current population of illegal immigrants will drain nearly $750 billion from taxpayers over their lifetimes.
Oh, by the way, girl on rope ladder and baby on athletic mom's back?
Hysterical!

You idiot. Please explain how you would climb a thirty-foot rope that is not anchored. A rope that is thrown over somehow.
Heck, one of the walls in the op wouldn't even need a hook. You could just anchor it off to one of the fence rails.
Not to mention that a 8' foot deep hole doesn't even seem all that big of a deal.
Posted on 10/19/17 at 9:43 am to mmcgrath
You are truly an idiot. Now we've moved to anchoring the rope and not only throwing 40-50 feet of strong rope over 30 feet straight up but adding the weight of a grappling hook. Keep moving the goal posts. Wait, you did. Now we are digging 8 feet straight down and under. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes or so. Plenty of time to avoid
Could be a good scene for a spy movie I guess.
Keep up the dumbassery. It's entertaining.

I’m pro wall but it took me 5 minutes to figure out how to get over this one. Not saying it’d be easy or safe to execute, but a rope with a rock just heavy enough to pull it down the other side, anchor it on a rail, then anchor the Mexico side of the rope to the rail and you can climb up and down. Maybe throw some knots on the rope to make it easier to climb
Posted on 10/19/17 at 9:52 am to Gene Frenkle
You've thrown a rope straight up over 3 stories before?
Come on man. I had trouble getting enough rope over a limb about 15 feet up.
Your design requires over 60 feet of rope to be thrown over 3 stories.
