I think both are considered to be long shots for gaining their respective party's nomination, but since each of them have something of a chance let's consider a 2016 general election between these two potential candidates.

Without any further bloviating, I simply ask the following two questions:

(1) Who would you vote for?
(2) Who do you think would win?

1. Neither.
2. I can't fathom a country where those are the options.

I would vote for Ted Cruz in a second but he won't even sniff at the party's nomination. Warren may have a shot.

In an head-to-head, basing it off this November's voter referendum, I'd give the nod to Cruz.

Didn't Warren come out yesterday and say that she's not considering a run in 2016?

She's polling at 6%. She doesn't have a shot no matter how bad repugs want her to

What kind of poll? She has little chance in the general but of the two mentioned in the OP only Warrem, IMO, has a shot at securing their party's nomination.

In the hypothetical I'd vote for Cruz. Warren will get good press because she is a leftist that the media love. None of her policies would be good for this country. Cruz, to me, is a political whore. I'd hate to have him as president. He would be the equivalent of Obama on the right. No leadership experience. Horrible executive manager. Screws up relationships with Washington.

I wish I had 20 bucks for everytime I've seen a campaign "catch fire" and come out of nowhere to win. In the 1987 Louisiana gubernatorial election, Buddy Roemer was polling in the single digits, but his campaign caught lightning in a bottle and he surged to the victory.

Hillary Clinton herself was considered a shoe-in once before. How did that work out for her?

Besides, it was just a hypothetical, anyway. I was mostly interested in seeing who the board thought would win. Personally, I think Cruz would clean her clock, despite the media working 24/7 to destroy him.

Leaning Warren, but it would probably be the lowest Presidential election turnout in history. Really a toss-up.

this for me. I like warren. I don't like all of her politics but I think she is directionally correct on the banking oligarchy. If I could get a president to do real banking reform, I could stomach the problems.

Same thing with Rand Paul and the NSA. I am not going to like everything Rand does, but if he can kill NSA spying he will get my vote.

No.

She said she isn't running.

Rand will do nothing to the NSA. Despite what he has said, he knows the program is too valuable to our national security. I think he even just recently voted to kill a bill on NSA reform.

Ted Cruz will self destruct in a national run. He just seems slimy and crazy.

Warren would have a better chance amongst true conservatives who are tired of the lowest common denominator - Jesus saves crowd the GOP panders to.

This would be an epic battle with little substance. Talk about the greatest display of Hyperbole ever witnessed (from both sides). Might as well dress Cruz in a cowboy outfit and give him a winchester. Warren can wear her "native" dress.
