What's that, you say? You haven't heard about it?

Shocking!

quote:

This should be one of the biggest stories in the national news. Instead, the mainstream media has barely, if at all, covered any of these mass pedophile arrests. This begs the question – why?” Liz Crokin wrote for Townhall.com on Feb. 25.

The numbers are “staggering” when compared to the less than 400 sex trafficking-related arrests made in 2014 according to the FBI.

What hasn't Trump disavowed pedophiles? - CNN's Chris Cuomo.

The REAL STORY is how did we all of a sudden, within days of Trumps election get all of this knowledge of these crimes?

The disturbing truth is that we didn't all of a sudden gain this knowledge, it was there all along and virtually nothing was done to stop it!

Let that sink in!

Good I hope they are all caught and arrested.

But I'm trying to understand what Trump has to do with these local and state operations that probably began the operations well before 2017, let alone after inauguration.

The article never actually said what trump did to cause this. It just bitched about the MSM.

Did he give them more resources that fast?

Were they ignoring this problem until Trump told them to step it up?

Using that "logic," I guess Leftists should be blaming Obama for the spike in deportations, too.

You have- to know this isn't just a coincidence.

Texas alone show 666 arrests in 2014...?

And that entire Townhall article was a weird defense of Milo.

If she so badly wants all child predators locked up, she should have called out Milo for not turning in his alleged molester, who could be still molesting young boys today.

But instead, like an utter partisan hack, she defends him 100%

Disgusting

Pedophilia had always been popular among the powerful and famous. It stems from the satanic belief that a person gains power while abusing an innocent child.

Matthew 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

There were 666 sex trafficing arrests in Texas alone in 2014. So your article is already distorting the truth. Fake news.

Most are arrested at the state and local level - not the Feds. Not because of Trump.

The idea that there have been "an unprecedented number" of sex traffickers arrested since Trump took office has similarly little basis in reality, and there's zero truth to the claim of law-enforcement busting up child sex-trafficking rings. Meanwhile, many of the arrests Crokin includes in her tally—arrests that include mostly women selling sex and men trying to engage in consensual adult prostitution—are part of annual sting operations, were the result of investigations in the works long before Trump took office, and/or had absolutely nothing to do with federal law-enforcement directives or activities. (That is, when we can check Crokin's sources; two of the pages she links to as evidence can't be found.)

Here are the arrests that Croklin credits as Donald Trump-brokered busts of pedophile trafficking rings:

478 people arrested in a statewide California sting that included zero sex-trafficking arrests, according to a press release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. One-hundred and forty-two men were arrested for attempting to pay consenting adult women for sexual activity. Thirty-six men were arrested for pimping. The rest of those arrested—300 in total—were women taken in on prostitution charges or people in trouble for charges unrelated to commercial sexual activity.

178 men arrested in Texas for soliciting prostitution from an undercover cop posing as a consenting adult sex worker. The stings were part of a nationwide "Johns Suppression Initiative" organized annually by Cook County, Illinois, Sheriff Tom Dart.

Four "pimps" and 12 people arrested on unspecified charges during a month-long Detroit operation concluded two days after Trump took office.

11 people arrested as part of a "five-month cyber-sting operation led by the Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office Child Exploitation Unit in partnership with the Northern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force." The sting—a To Catch a Predator-style operation involving police posing online as a 13-year-old into older men—began in October 2016 and ended in early February.

As evidence of these arrests that Crokin doesn't think are being covered in the mainstream media, she links to news reports on ABC, NBC, and CBS news affiliates, describing events also covered widely by other media in their respective states or regions. The California sting was also reported by mainstream print and broadcast media across the country, as was the broader National Johns Suppression Initiative that resulted in the Texas arrests.

So here's the breakdown in numbers.

No proof for 150 of the arrests- The web pages Crokin cited are dead links.

478 arrests- 142 men were paying for sex with ADULT women, 36 were pimps, and 300 were regular female prostitutes with no proof of coercion or people in trouble for crimes unrelated to sexual activity. In addition, there were 28 commercially exploited children recovered, and 27 adult victims. So there were 55 total people rescued from human trafficking.

178 arrests- All of those arrests were men soliciting sex from an undercover cop posing as an adult sex worker

16 arrests- 4 pimps and 12 people arrested on unspecified charges. 2 children were rescued. There were 14 potential victims identified with many of the victims being minors". I'll be generous and say all of them were minors. That's 16 human trafficking victims with 16 people (maybe) being arrested for trying to have sex/pimping out underage girls/children.

11 arrests- Sting involving police posing online as a 13-year-old into older men. That's 11 pedophile arrests.

That leaves 653 arrests accounted for with no proof. And of the 847 arrests that were cited, only 27 were linked with pedophilia or having sex with minors. There were also 71 human trafficking victims rescued. Finally, the investigations for all of these cases started long before Trump took office. One of the cases concluded two days before Trump's inauguration day. The other case concluded nine days after Trump's inauguration day. And the third case started in October 2016, one month before Trump was elected. In other words, the numbers are misleading as frick.
