I defrosted a rack on Saturday and never got around to cooking them. Are they still good to be cooked tomorrow? They were frozen in the sealed plastic form the store. TIA.

Are you really worried about cooking meat that was thawed on Saturday and has been refrigerated?

They have been in the fridge since thawed.

To Mouton......yes, I thought it would be a good idea before I feed it to my family.

They are absolutely good to cook if they were in the fridge.

I didn't get fat from eating pre-seasoned plastic wrapped baby back ribs, NF

Slap em in the oven, call Thibby for the best cheez whiz to smother em in at the end or use for dipping.

Poach them in crab boil and throw them on the grill. Then add the cheez whiz.

If you cook ribs I'd say 100% you yourself have bought frozen ribs in plastic. Might be thawed by the time you get them but unless you or a family friend is slaughtering and butchering a hog and then taking the ribs to cook you my friend are buying and eating frozen ribs.

The regular ribs come in the plastic at albertsons, not just the preseasoned ones

Mr. Martini, I respect all of your post, but I must say that this statement MAY not be completely accurate. Aren't the ribs packaged in cryovac, like the 3 rib packs at Sams fresh, not frozen?

No they are not. They are flash frozen, stored, shipped, thawed and put into the display case.

Same for most shrimp you buy even at local seafood markets. Every shrimp you buy from Tonys has been frozen.

Ribs at rouses don't come vacuum packed.
