Honestly though he has a great arm, and all the skill to play at an SEC level, but coming here was possibly the worst mistake he could have made. Les gets tunnel vision when it comes to qbs and picks his favorite for better or for worse

So which school that offered him a scholarship should he have signed with?

"He's smart, very disciplined, and is a good listener, exactly what you want at QB."

That one clip does show he has some talent.

If he makes the TE his best friend, he will definitely do well.

McMillan is on a different level than both AJ & BH were when they were freshmen.

Better. He has prepared himself better for this than both AJ and BH did.

Good lord man, I'm not anointing him the next Andrew Luck, but if that TD throw doesn't immediately stand out to you as having some serious velocity, then I don't really know what to tell you.

I remember some saying Jeremy Hill would be one of the greatest LSU running backs of all time based on his first few carries in garbage time vs Idaho. So who knows?

that throw was 30yards in the air, on a dime.

Would have been the best throw by a QB last year at LSU.

GOAT is a stretch, but I'd say he turned out to be a pretty damn good player don't you think?

In fact, LSUsports.net isn't shy about calling him one of the best.

quote:

Ended up becoming one of the top running backs in school history with 2,156 yards and 18 TDs on 345 carries … Averaged a staggering 6.3 yards per carry for his career … Finished career ranked No. 7 in school history in rushing TDs (28) and No. 11 in LSU history in rushing yards (2,156) … His 1,401 rushing yards in 2013 ranks No. 2 in LSU history for a single-season, while the 16 rushing TDs rank No. 4 in school history for a season … Tied LSU season record with seven 100-yard rushing games in 2013, including career-best 216 yards in Outback Bowl win over Iowa … For career, had 11 100-yard rushing games, which ranks fourth in school history.

You're basing that off of a spring game where he went 3/3 against bench players ? Come on man.

I like McMillan, he's def better than his star rating and he did throw a nice TD pass to Smith, who was pretty open, but come on. Wait til we see what he actually does in a game before saying something like that. I mean Harris is still in his freshman year. He was the QB for like 25 drives this season and we scored touchdowns on 13 of them. And that includes the Auburn game.

And Jennings didn't play much as a true freshman but he did led us to the game winning touchdown vs Arky and was the QB for the bowl game where we beat Iowa.

To say that McMillan is on a different level than they were as true freshman based off what he did in a spring game vs bench players is just wrong. He hasn't even dressed for a game yet, let alone take a snap in a game.

I'm not basing this off of a spring game performance. He's just more prepared than they were. He didn't win two 6A championships being a mediocre QB.

I've been underwhelmed mostly by the downfield passing by our current guys. In a play action offense, that's not a good thing. I honestly think Justin makes a run at starting QB next season.

We have three QB's. I'm pretty happy. McMillan could be the guy who transitions us over from Harris/Jennings to Franks. We've been missing that guy
