I'm wondering how long before that contract is up

I could see Nike making a huge push for Speith

Interesting question. Tiger in 1997 did this for Nike

To answer the question though, you don't see much UA apparel in any proshops because most proshops seem to buy apparel from club makers or affiliates

It's huge for Under Armour
They already have the kid market right now.
It's all my kid and his friends wear from head to toe.

UA makes good stuff but it's just so damned expensive

Even at their outlet stores, there is rarely a deal to be found

I agree with this. I mostly see younger guys and HS kids wearing any UA golf gear....this might open them up to the 30-55 crowd.

I wonder how far away UA is from making their own clubs. Nike does well because of Tiger and Rory alone.

Would never by UA clubs, but I do have Nike clubs and I like them a lot. Some people don't, but they just work well for me.

I have a few UA golf shirts. They're okay. All they make is apparel for golf, right? Without equipment, they probably might see a little bump but their stuff is so overpriced it's ridiculous.

I read that they signed him up out of college for four years, ripped it up in January, and re-upped for ten years. Guess that paid off by now.

I doubt they get into equipment, but they are going after the shoe market now, so who knows?

UA is strictly apparel right?

Seems like they are a long way off from making clubs

When Nike was making clubs, I think they had already started making all types of other sports equipment

I may be wrong

Tiger was Nike's entry into golf and I am sure UA will pay Speith mightily when the contract expires or renegotiate the current contract

Little to none. Golfers don't like UA and they never will

They signed for ten years in January.
LINK

What's interesting is they don't want him wearing any other logos. That must be pissing him off now, but he probably owns a ton of UA stock.

Why not?

I don't like the price but have nothing against their stuff

I don't know any golfers that don't like it for any particular reason
