Cadillac unveils CT6 luxury sedan

This is Cadillac's production version of the car they've designed to compete with the Jaguar XJ, Mercedes S, BMW 7, and Lexus LS. It's new rear wheel drive chassis features a 400 horsepower engine that is mounted entirely behind the front axle. It weighs only 3700 lbs and comes with a long list of new technology.
Basically, this will be the first American car that will actually compete with the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 series. I'm very impressed with it. I thought that the OT should know about this product in case their Perfect 10 wives wanted a new grocery-getter. This goes on sale in about 6 months.

I was just thinking that the steering wheel seriously takes away from the car. It looks cartoonish.

Yeah, I'm kind of surprised they were able to do that. Most of their competitors are 4200-4500 lbs. At 204 inches long, it is the size of a BMW 7 series, but is over 100 lbs lighter than their 193 inch long 5 series.
I imagine that will translate into a pretty high asking price from Cadillac.

S-class curbs at 3900-4300lbs depending on how you option it. LS460s average heavier. Same for the 7 Series.

People will bitch and moan because, well, this is the OT and that is what people do. However, Cadillac has made a beautiful car IMO.

Supposedly Cadillac is working on a Bentley Continental type of car that will be similar in style to the El Miraj concept. I imagine it will cost as much as a very decent house and will be built to order.

I saw the CNN video on the CT6 earlier. It looks like an amazing car that I'll probably never afford.
Cadillac is probably the only domestic car that I'd consider buying....other than the Corvette of course. I think the excellent new CTS is more my speed though.
