I love my state, but yes, you can see a much better improvement in roads when you hit Orange.

New Orleans has roads so bad they look like they belong in Africa or central america.
I really believe that the city should give out free suspension repairs.

. NM's are freaking terrible.

New Mexico is the only place I have ever been in my entire life that has interstate exits that go straight to dirt/gravel roads.

Was weird as hell. Driving from Santa Fe to Amarillo, I swear one of the roads had a gravel exit.

If you have an outstate license plate then you get a free pass on some of the toll roads in Austin. I drove one toll road for years. Mopac and exit 183 going towards Cedar Park. After two years I called the toll road billing department. Gave them my name, address, and license plate number. I asked them why I have not reciceved a bill yet? They said I owe $0.00 because I have outstate license plate and those vehicles are not charged.

Well if we could receive our toll bill. It took like 4 months to send mine, and I rarely use the tolls around Austin. When I finally received it they tagged all the violation fees. Xerox screwed the pooch on it.

Same here, but I finally get a bill 4 months later for $1300 and I might have used the toll twice a day for two months.

I paid it minus the fees. Not paying their fees because of their incompetence. The legislature acted on it and they suppose to waive all the fees for people like me. Many people are having the same issue. I cannot get a tag until they clear it up. Really sucks. B/c the Mopac Toll is right by my house and I work off the 45 Toll and Amberglen.

The main streets I drive on are in reasonable condition in New Orleans - however, I must agree that (and I'm a lifelong resident of Louisiana) I was SHOCKED at how bad the neighborhood streets are in Uptown/Carrollton - many of them look like they were intentionally cratered to slow traffic and destroy vehicle suspensions.

And this is in areas where people have money. Try to get to the Starbucks at the corner of Maple and Adams, for example - walking distance from the park, Tulane, etc. - it's like driving through a war zone (and I don't mean the nice people and quaint old houses - the freakin' streets).

nope, I know the difference, lol

I was looking for places to go enjoy the products I purchased in CO. I took one of the exits to the gravel road and took the gravel road for a few miles just to see.

They also have private entrances to the Interstate, I've seen that in Kansas and Texas as well.

I would like to be so baller as to have a private interstate exit.

How can someone get this far into it without any concequences? How long does it take to run up $236,000.00 worth of tolls?

The worst street I have found in the city is uptown. Near Fountainbleau, it's called Vincennes Pl. By far the worst I have seen. I have a reasonably tall truck and have to do 5mph tops on that road.
I feel bad for sports cars in that area.
