Correct. Houston had red light cameras but nobody would pay the fine and Harris County wouldn't cooperate with denying registration so in 2010 they went back and took all the cameras out. LOL

It's weird that they are all from either Round Rock, Hutto, Pflugerville, or Austin (Central Texas). Something must be wrong with 130

The good thing about a toll road is the flat tire crew and they clear accidents very quickly. That fleet of tow truck is impressive

It's owned by a company out of Madrid, Spain. In 2014, Moody's reduced their stock to junk status. They've been in danger of missing payments on the debt as recently as months ago. So yeah, there's some stuff wrong with it.

Highest posted speed limit in the US though. It's fun.

I think that's because some roads are adminstered by TxDOT, and others by regional tollway authorities.

TxDOT tollways:
1. Central Texas Turnpike System: (S H 130 Segment 1-4, Loop 1, S H 45N S H 45)

2. Camino Colombia Toll Road (S H 255) - Laredo

3. S H 130, S egments 5 and 6

4. S H 99 Grand Pk wy, S egment E and I-2 (tolled lanes) (Portion of I-2)

5. DFW Connector

6. Presidio – Ojinaga International Bridge (Toll on M exico side only )

7. North Tarrant Express, S egment 3A and 3B (I-35W)

8. North Tarrant Express, S egments 1 & 2W

9. I-635 LBJ M anaged Lanes

10. S H 99 (Grand Park way ), S egments F1, F2, & G

11. S H 183 M anaged Lanes (M idtown Express)

12. I-35E Managed Lane

LINK

The other tollway authorities have their own list of violators. For instance: LINK

I was wrong about the regional trans. authorities not having the ability to deny car registration, like TxDOT. They do, but it's not very successful because the counties don't participate (lost revenue from registration, and lost money dealing with the B.S.)

EDIT: And just the southern 40 miles of 130 is 85 mph. The rest is 80 mph. Minor quibble.

List is 95 percent female. Not surprised. "What are those things out in the middle of the road? Why do people stop there? Why does that camera take my picture 4 times a day?"

Tell the bitch it's a toll house and she'll think they're giving out cookies.

These are all people using 130. You can tell by where they live. I believe 130 is owned by a Brazilian company.

Toll companies are shite at letting you know you owe money. They send snail mail that looks like spam, some of these people probably have no idea

I could understand not realizing a handful of unpaid toll transactions... but hundreds and thousands? Nope.

Don't know what it's like in Austin, but here in Dallas there aren't toll booths. Just sensors that pick up on the toll tag sticker on the wonder of your car at the different entrances and exits of the highway.

You'd think that with the money that does come in the roads would be a little bit less shitty.

if you do some very quick math, you can see that by that chart, each toll violation is anywhere from $16 to $25....the tolls on 130 and 45 are like a dollar or two at each station

...so, it's all "late fees"

and I can tell you from working for a scumbag who didnt pay anybody (the tollway were just one of many) - that if you call them, you can negotiate the frick out of these...one time our company rang up nearly $10k of fees, one call, and we got out for just over $1,000....like .10 cents on the dollar
