Besides not ever having sex again? The whole reason they originally "wed" is because Carol wouldn't frick unless they were married. Blondie already kinda doesnt' like Phil and does like Carol, so if he were to devastate her like that she'd have nothing to do with him either. He might as well be the last person on earth with the way they would copmletely shun him.
ETA: There was an episode maybe 2 or 3 back where he was going to say something rude to Carol but he saw how much their marriage meant to her and how she genuinely cares for him, so he refrained. Clearly he doesn't love Carol as a wife but I think he cares enough for her and her feelings that he wouldn't want to hurt her.

two more episodes last night and basically nothing new happened. A few laughs sure, but I'm still in the camp frustrated with the current state of Phil with absolutely zero wins for the guy. For me this isn't sustainable and I can only give it another episode or two. I truly want this show to succeed though.

I started watching last night, but got sidetracked on something and then had to watch TWD since it was an hour and a half episode. I hope to get back to LMoE this afternoon when I get home from work.

it's solid. lots of constant little chuckles throughout but no real big laughs. its premise does limit the shelf life though

I can't stand Phil because he's a whiny douchbag who seems to have only one purpose in life: sleeping with Melissa.
I can't stand Melissa because she's on to Phil's schtick and is pretty much a jerk to Phil.
I can't stand Carol because she's a wacko and she's the real reason why Phil can't be with Melissa.
I can't stand Todd because he's too perfect. "Friggin' Todd!"
So why am I still watching this show?

The first few episodes were great, but once Melissa showed up it really went down hill.
Phil became just an unlikeable psychopath.
Melissa is a raging bitch.
My prediction is that they all leave Phil and head elsewhere.
They should have made Phil an actual person instead of this complete weirdo and got their comedy from other situations.

That seems like a completely normal reaction in that situation. Most people would be hella turned off by something like that.
