I agree with these episodes losing a little steam but there were still some hilarious moments. I died at "real shank-head".

I think if forte stops trying so hard to get with JJ, this still has a lot of potential. They just need to dial that back.

'm betting on he's a cannibal or leader of cannibals who goes out there trying to find stragglers. Seriously, how you do you manage to stay THAT fat during the apocalypse? He's got to be eating some sort of meat, and I'm not sure if there's any meat left on the Earth but jerky at this point.

I like the show. I don't expect too much from it and just enjoy the sarcastic facial expressions of Will Forte any time he's getting screwed.

This is how I feel as well. I think the final scene started us in that direction. He was finally normal around her and got shot down. Now he can go back to being goofy instead of creepy.

Also, I cracked up the most when Todd said he got the scar donating a kidney.

Look what kind of stuff they're cooking though. Sure, sweets could be his problem, but most of the things that are likely to make him fat have long rotted away. I think his weight is a clue.

Love this show, my new favorite comedy now that Parks and Rec is over. Unlike most people in this thread I love the new Forte trying to hook up with the hot chick.

What if Todd is a transsexual? And Phil still is the last man on earth? He did have some pretty big boobs, although I guess they couldn't have shown them on fox? It would be pretty damn funny if Phil has to repopulate with Todd too.

I'm curious if we'll get backstory on other characters and what they were doing before they came to Tucson. Like wtf has todd been doing the last few months?

Does anyone else watch this show right after The Walking Dead? My wife and I do, and it takes a little while to change mindsets. Both shows are post-apocalyptic, but obviously one is a comedy. Usually, in the first five minutes of TLMOE, I have to remind myself that there aren't things or people that are just waiting to rip Phil to shreds.

Id almost guarantee that all these characters besides Phil die or leave or something. He will end up being alone again.

If you remember the promos he had a shorter beard and shorter hair. If you look at the preview for next week he is growing his beard back out. I think the promos are from later on.

I don't know why, but Carol's last name being Pilbasian cracks me the frick up for whatever reason.

Maybe it's how she says it, or that she always seems to say it, but I laugh every time I hear it.

I'd reconsider that, especially if you like Forte or dumb comedy. It's a show with a pretty simple premise that's easy to laugh at. So I am digging it so far. There are things that bug me about it, but for the most part, they're not too bad, and some of them are intentional anyway.

But I'd definitely say to give it a shot.

I agree. Not the greatest show on television, but a few genuinely funny, laugh out loud moments. I think it's confusing to some people to have a lead character who is not very likeable.

I don't know how long the show will last and agree with your assessment that it would have more of a cult following on Netflix. However, Forte is so god damn awkward and bizarre, that it makes for a trainwreck, I'm willing to continue to watch.

Isn't that kind of the point? That's what sets up the conflict when Melissa arrived.

No. I mean her last name in general is a funny name to me.

I realize that her last name is now different (hyphenated) since they got married. I'm talking about Pilbasian in general; it cracks me up.
