And Jason Sudakis used to hit that for a few years and now he's with Olivia Wilde.

These last two episodes were definitely a step below the first few but I still lol'd a fair amount.

They just need to move past Phil being an insufferable whiny baby.

Def need to pick things up. I can't sit through another episode of him at JJ's door just begging for it.

So much potential.
Road trips
Basic survival situations
Entertainment (tennis foray was at least a good step)

Surely they can think of more.

I really want this to be good.

Definitely messed up by introducing other people so soon, I think it would have had more of an effect to get to know the main character a little better. Now he comes off as whiny, bitchy, and really annoying. I had hopes for this show

I think so too. I think the pilot touched on some great potential storylines. It was great seeing how he was wasting his time. The way he made fun of Castaway and then ended up crazier than Tom Hanks was hilarious. Now within a few weeks we have a love triangle/rectangle and he's become basically a different character.

The show has great potential, but its slowly losing steam...especially when you relaize he's no longer the last man on Earth.

It took a step in the wrong direction when he went from castaway Phil to stay at home dad Phil. The entire character changed.

I agree with what someone said earlier

I feel so bad for him with the women situation and how he got screwed. It's so damn frustrating and makes me cringe.

When the fat told them he would not have found them except for the fireworks, I got mad at the TV for him

He screwed himself with the whole, overly romantic, fireworks and guitar shite show. It was instant karma. Had he just played it cool, he could be nailing her 3 times a month for the foreseeable future.

I agree, the new guy is hiding something.

Was recording to watch them as a marathon. Now I am going to delete and free up some space. What's the point of "Last Man On Earth" if there are other people, especially other men? Seems like someone had an idea for a show, wrote one episode and then couldn't figure where to take it next.

I know he screwed himself, but I was thinking this even before the whole arrangement

Right at the point where she stepped out of the limo she was driving.

I'd watch a few if I were you and give it a shot. It's not the Godfather but I'm still entertained by it and it's a fun little show for what it is. I don't think it's intention was to become the next great sitcom or anything.

If the whole first season was just 1 guy by himself people would get bored reaaaaal quick. I don't think this qualifies as a spoiler since you've already alluded to it in your posts, but just to be on the safe side, SPOILER below:

I don't mind new characters but I wouldn't have minded if they drew it out a litttttle longer. The others do show up fairly quick.

I'd reconsider that, especially if you like Forte or dumb comedy. It's a show with a pretty simple premise that's easy to laugh at. So I am digging it so far. There are things that bug me about it, but for the most part, they're not too bad, and some of them are intentional anyway.

But I'd definitely say to give it a shot.

was awesome, just like when JJ said if he'd put his address on the "Live in Tuscon" sign, she would have found him a few days sooner, i.e. before he got married.

I think they should have told the show in present time and flashbacks. The first episode was so effective with him by himself. Stick with that for a few episodes while also showing his life pre-crisis. Get the other characters from his flashbacks and so on. Build depth to the character.

Then have Elizabeth Schaal show up towards the last episode and January Jones in the very last scene.

Mild spoiler

I see another name on the season 1 cast so it looks like they aren't done introducing new characters

Also, speaking of Sudakis, he has a blink and you miss it cameo in the first episode.

He's in a photo with Forte that he puts on the wall in the first episode.

I'm betting on he's a cannibal or leader of cannibals who goes out there trying to find stragglers. Seriously, how you do you manage to stay THAT fat during the apocalypse? He's got to be eating some sort of meat, and I'm not sure if there's any meat left on the Earth but jerky at this point.
