free dog...australian shepherd

he's about 1.5yrs old, neutered, house trained, and listens well. 100% healthy. he's at jefferson animal hospital in BR.
wife picked him up off the street and has fostered him for the last few days. owner was identified and contacted, he does not want the dog. call the vet and inquire about adopting him, his name is quincy.
and if you live in tangi/hammond, be aware that carlos notoriano is a lying low-rent shitbag, and you should keep that in mind when he runs for office again...

wife found his jack russell and the shepherd running down old covington near the traffic circle, picked them both up and tracked him down. he said the russell was his, but didnt know the shepherd. come to find out the shepherd belongs to one of his family members, which he later admitted to, but refuses to take him back and refuses to allow wife to drop him off

What kind of prick doesn't want an Australian Shepherd? Ive always wanted one. Amazing dogs.
Hope someone rips him a new one. Talk to his opponent in the election of he has one. Give him this story to use as an example of his lack of humanity or something.

What color is he? Also, have you seen is temperment around kids? Aussies will sometimes herd kids, no biting but will nip.

he's white and orange.
super friendly and sweet
dont know about kids as mine are grown but he's gentle with us and my other dogs. he's very energetic, will need a yard and interaction

I had two when my kids were age 2-12. They kinda tried to herd, but telling them "no" for a little while made them stop for good. No nipping, just circling and barking. I've heard it can be a problem, though.
