Watching "The Patriot" for the first time right now.

Good god this movie is terrible... I've got about 30 minutes left but I don't know if I can take it. First off, is Mel Gibson into self mutilation and/or torture because every role he played in the 90's he gets his family killed and home burned. Second, it's incredibly unbelievable, ridiculous, and predictable all at the same time. Animal mother burning the church full of women and children was just dumb, even for that a-hole commander.
Anyway, I'm gonna finish it but I feel like I'm watching Braveheart part deaux.

God awful piece of shite. Can't believe people like that abortion of a movie. Absolutely terrible. Emmerich is easily the worst director of his time.
