Agreed. Feel bad for those players and coaches.

Colorado State got royally screwed. Texas and UCLA don't belong. Money talks, I guess.

UCLA/TEX, for sure.

OK State as a 9

I wasn't thrilled with IU getting in, either.

Texas and UCLA didn't even have to play in.

I'm hoping some sort of infectious disease sweeps across the UCLA and Texas campuses so that not as many fans can fill the seats.

Just a bullshite metric to use to choose who is in/out

They give the benefit of the doubt to marginal P5 schools when, if anything, the benefit should be against them due to built in advantages and inflated RPIs from losing.

Colorado State split with SDSU and Boise but finished one game behind them. Only one legit bad loss, vs. New Mexico.

I don't understand how Texas and UCLA are being talked about as equals. UCLA is by far worse than Texas based on resumes.

The NCAA considers them equals. They were the last two teams that don't have to play on Tuesday and Wednesday.

UCLA

Not only that, but they gave them a "made for TV" matchup vs. Larry Brown.

Coincidental, I'm sure.

Their RPI is high enough that they would seem like a lock to be an at-large. That being said, they have some clear problems. Their SOS is ~110. They have no games against the RPI top 25. They were 2-3 against the RPI 26-50 and 3-2 vs the RPI 51-100. So they went 5-5 vs the RPI 26-100. It just is not an especially impressive resume.

All you have to do is look at their non conference schedule. Colorado was the best team they played. If they had scheduled Duke, Kentucky and Arizona and lost all 3 they'd be 24-9 and I bet they'd have gotten in. But the committee has repeatedly said you have to schedule out of conference.
